All of the preseason betting odds and lines are out for the National Football League 2023 season. One of the most popular bets to make before the start of a season is the Most Valuable Player award.
Many times this goes to a quarterback, and a majority of the time, it goes to a quarterback on a team that had a really good year. If not, the player, if they won the award, must have had elite numbers.
Let’s take a look at some of the best MVP Odds for the 2023 season.
Patrick Mahomes +700
The signal caller from the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs is seeking his third MVP title and third Super Bowl. Mahomes has Travis Kelce back as his top target.
The big question is can the offensive line keep him upright enough this season? Mahomes was the only 5,000+ yard passer a season ago.
Joe Burrow +750
The talented Cincinnati Bengals quarterback finished with 4,475 yards passing a season ago. Burrow is a season removed from reaching the Super Bowl and, fortunately, has talent around him.
Cincinnati is on a mission to get by both Buffalo and Kansas City this year and get back to the Super Bowl.
Josh Allen +800
Allen is tough to take down and has shown the ability to use his arm and his legs in big spots. Unfortunately for him, he’s the only one in the Top 4 list here that has not been to a Super Bowl.
Allen can’t seem to get it done in the postseason when it counts. He will look to change that, as Buffalo still has a squad that is ultra-talented.
Jalen Hurts +1100
Hurts was incredible last season and led the Philadelphia Eagles to the best record and a few plays away from winning the Super Bowl.
Hurts is another guy that can beat you with his legs, and not just the arm. He is another player that has a great cast of characters around here. Hurts is the only quarterback in the Top 5 that plays in the NFC.
Justin Herbert +1300
Herbert finished second in passing yards a season ago. The problem with the Chargers signal-caller is his inability to get out of sacks.
The Chargers’ offensive line has not been great, and Herbert has not figured out the art of getting rid of the football. That’s something that will need to change when the 2023 season comes rolling around.

Trevor Lawrence +1400
Another AFC quarterback. Jacksonville appears to continue their upward climb and the team to beat out of the AFC South.
Lamar Jackson +1500
Once again, an AFC quarterback with something to prove. Jackson got paid in the off-season, and now the Ravens are hoping that pays off with success and injury-free football.
Aaron Rodgers +1600
Rodgers left the NFC and came over to the AFC, and now with the New York Jets. The veteran should have a decent say in what the offense does. Will his weapons be available for him?
Dak Prescott +2000
The Cowboys quarterback has always shown the ability to put up big numbers.
Justin Fields +2000
Big expectations for Fields in Chicago this season.
Tua Tagovailoa +2000
Why not end with another AFC quarterback? Tua is the 8th out of the top 11 quarterbacks on this list are AFC guys.
