The Atlanta Hawks are at the Portland Trail Blazers in the National Basketball Association on Wednesday. The Atlanta Hawks come into the game with a 3.5 game lead for the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta is coming off a loss at home to the Pelicans on Sunday. Atlanta is 13-18 when playing on the road this season.

For Portland, they are 14th in the West. They are only better than the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference standings. The Trail Blazers are 18-46 on the season. Portland is 10-23 at home this season. The last time the Trail Blazers played, they were blown out at home to the Celtics.

The Atlanta Hawks are -2 in this game.

Hawks Without Young

Trae Young has been out since February 23rd with a finger injury. The star for the Hawks was scoring more than 26 points per game, and dishing out 10.8 assists per game. Since he went out though Atlanta has won five of eight games.

Dejounte Murray has stepped up and been the man for Atlanta. In a recent game at Memphis, Murray scored 41 points, ripped down 7 rebounds and dished out 6 assists. In the last game against the Pelicans, he was a great distributor, with 11 assists.

The Hawks are playing their first of five straight road games here. After this game, Atlanta will go on the road to take on the Utah Jazz. After that, Atlanta is at Los Angeles to battle the Clippers and then Lakers, and then Phoenix. The next home game is March 23rd against Charlotte.

Portland Looking to Bounce Back

It was not a pretty one on Monday, as the Trail Blazers lost by 22 at home to the Celtics. Portland is 3-4 in March, with two of those wins coming back to back over the Grizzlies. Portland is scoring 108 points per game, which is 29th in all of the National Basketball Association. The Trail Blazers make just 44.1% of their shots.

The top scorer for Portland is Anfernee Simons. The guard is scoring 22.7 points per game. Jerami Grant has been in and out of the lineup with injury, and is second with 21 points per game. Portland has 7 guys scoring double digits per game.

The Trail Blazers are at home on Thursday against the Knicks. They play two road games at the Pelicans and Bulls, before heading back home for three more in a row, against the Clippers twice and the Nuggets.

Portland Tops Hawks

Atlanta and Portland should be an interesting game. Portland is a team that can shock teams at times at home. If the Hawks do not play well, they will slip up on the road here. In fact, that is what our pick is going to be.

We like the Portland Trail Blazers +2 or +110 on the moneyline to win this game at home. We are taking the upset and betting on Portland. Enjoy the game and best of luck with all your National Basketball Association betting!
