Baltimore Ravens at New Orleans Saints Betting Preview

It will be a battle of AFC versus NFC on Monday Night Football as the Baltimore Ravens (5-3) take on the New Orleans Saints (3-5). The Saints will host this one at the Caesars Superdome, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 pm ET.

Baltimore is coming off back-to-back wins, including a 27-22 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. In the win, Lamar Jackson threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed nine times for 43 yards.

The Saints are also coming off of a win as they took down the Las Vegas Raiders 24-0 at home last week. Andy Dalton managed to throw for 229 yards and two touchdowns. Alvin Kamara had both of the receiving touchdowns while also adding another touchdown on the ground.

The Ravens are the favorites in this one despite playing on the road. They are -124 to win, while the Saints’ moneyline sits at +106. The spread features New Orleans +1.5 (-110), and the over/under for total points is 47.5.

Ravens Look To Make It Three In A Row

At 5-3, the Ravens lead the AFC North by a game over the Cincinnati Bengals. On Monday, they will look to win their third NFL game in a row and will also try to move to 4-1 on the road this season.

Leading the team under center is quarterback Lamar Jackson. This season, he has thrown for 1,635 yards, 15 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Jackson also leads the team in rushing with 553 yards and another two scores.

Unfortunately for the Ravens, their receiving core took a bit of a hit as Rashod Bateman is now out for the season. Still, their top two receivers remain intact in tight end Mark Andrews (488 yards, 5 TD) and Devin Duvernay (313 yards, three TD).

Defensively, the Ravens rank 19th overall, allowing 22.9 points per game. They did try to shore up their defense a little at the trade deadline as they brought in linebacker Roquan Smith in a trade with the Bears.

Saints Try To Stay Competitive In NFC South

To this point, no one has exactly run away with the NFC South. At 3-5, the Saints sit just a game back of the division-leading Atlanta Falcons and will look to try to stay in striking distance with a win Monday night.

New Orleans’ offense has been pretty productive to this point, as they rank eighth in the league in scoring, averaging 24.9 points per game.

Andy Dalton is leading the Saints’ offense under center. In five games, he has managed to throw for 1,175 yards, nine touchdowns, and four interceptions. The offensive line has also done a nice job, as he has been sacked just four times thus far.

The biggest threat to the Saints’ offense is Alvin Kamara. On the ground, he has rushed 95 times for 413 yards and a touchdown. Through the air, he has 33 receptions for 287 yards and another two scores.

Despite shutting out the Raiders in their last game, the team’s defense has still been statistically poor. They rank 28th in scoring defense, allowing 25 points per game to opponents.

Take The Ravens To Win On The Road

The Saints have shown flashes of solid play this season, but this still feels like a game that is Baltimore’s to lose.

Looking at the trends, the Ravens are 6-2 both straight up and against the spread against the Saints in their last eight games. Furthermore, they are 10-2 in their last 12 games against NFC South teams.

For the Saints, they are just 2-5 in their last seven games, and they are 3-7 in their last ten home games.

Take the Ravens to win this one, and don’t hesitate to take them to cover the -1.5 spread (-110) as well.
