Baltimore Ravens at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Preview
In preseason play in the National Football League, the Baltimore Ravens will visit Raymond James Stadium in Tampa to take on the Buccaneers.
This is the final game of preseason action for both teams. Baltimore is coming off the last-second loss to the Washington Commanders. The loss snapped a 24-game winning streak in preseason play for the Ravens.
Baltimore beat the Eagles in Week 1 of preseason play. For Tampa Bay, they are also 1-1 in preseason play. The Buccaneers beat the Jets last week but fell to the Steelers in Week 1.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are favorites in this game, albeit small. Tampa Bay is listed at -1.5 and -130 on the moneyline. The underdog Baltimore Ravens are +1.5 and +110 on the moneyline. The total for this game is listed at 36.5.
Buccaneers New Faces in 2023
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to look a little different this season. Gone is Tom Brady from behind center, and in is Baker Mayfield. Mayfield has got some preseason play this summer, while Kyle Trask has taken more snaps. Sean Tucker and David Moore have been the biggest threats in preseason play, but that’s about to change.
Mayfield will be equipped with a pair of receivers that can still get it done. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin combined for over 2,100 yards and nine touchdowns a season ago.
Leonard Fournette is also gone as the top running back. The Buccaneers will move to Rachaad White and Ke’Shawn Vaughn. Those two got carries a season ago but will pick up the pace in 2023.
The Buccaneers will wrap up their preseason play here and then head to Minnesota to take on the Vikings in Week 1.
Ravens are Jackson’s Team
The Baltimore Ravens extending the contract of Lamar Jackson showed they are committed to him, and this is his team. The athletic signal caller will first and foremost look to stay healthy all season.
A season ago, Jackson played in 12 games and still finished with 17 touchdown passes and an additional three touchdowns on the ground. In preseason play, Josh Johnson has been getting time, with three touchdown passes.
The Ravens added Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers. Both of those guys should be threats for Jackson to throw to. Beckham Jr., of course, sat out last season after an injury in the Super Bowl the previous season. Flowers is a rookie receiver who was talented and productive during his time at Boston College.
A season ago, Mark Andrews led the team with 847 receiving yards and five touchdowns. That was in 15 games. Demarcus Robinson was second with 458 yards, so a couple of talented receivers was much needed for this roster.
The Baltimore Ravens will come home after this game and prepare for their Week 1 affair. The Ravens will welcome the Houston Texans to town before a road trip to Cincinnati in Week 2.
Ravens Top Buccaneers on Saturday
The Baltimore Ravens hate losing, no matter when the game is. Coach Harbaugh and his coaches and players are going to be ready to bounce back in this game.
The winning streak being snapped did not set well for the team. Look for a talented team of Ravens, no matter who they play a little or a lot in this game, to come out looking to get ready for the start of the season.
Baltimore wins this game and wins it pretty easily. The final bet for this game is the Baltimore Ravens +110 on the moneyline over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
