Betting Odds Released For NFL Week 1

The beginning of the 2020 NFL season is more than four months away, but it’s never too soon to look at the lines. BetMGM has already released the lines on Week 1. We take a quick peek at some of the more intriguing opening matchups.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints

One of the most fascinating matchups in Week 1 has to be in the NFC South. Tom Brady will have to start his days as the Tampa Bay quarterback by going up against Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints.

The Saints are 3.5-point favorites for the matchup. The Bucs are still receiving plenty of respect even though they will be underdogs. The Saints have one of the best home-field advantages in the league.

Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Rams

Jerry Jones is hoping for a successful first year with a new head coach. The Cowboys start their season facing off against the Los Angeles Rams.

Los Angeles was 9-7 last season, while Dallas was 8-8. This year, the Cowboys enter the game as 2.5-point road favorites.

For this game to be a win for Dallas, Jones is going to have to finalize a deal with Dak Prescott. He is looking to get a long-term extension before Week 1.

Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots

Of course, the New England Patriots will still be favorites in Week 1 even after Brady’s departure. It will be a different season for fans in New England.

They start their season against Miami and are favored by 7.5 points.

Many believe that Belichick might want to tank for Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, but his system might still be effective without the presence of Brady.

Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs

The returning champs are the favorites, and they will be one of the first teams out of the gate in 2020.

They will face the Houston Texans in a Thursday night matchup in Week 1. They are currently 9.5-point favorites for their opener.

Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco will be trying to make a similar run as it did last season, but with a different end result. They will go against the young QB Kyler Murray and the Cardinals in Week 1.

The 49ers are a strong team for more reasons than their offense. They have a defense that can be suffocating to their opponent.

The Cardinals hope to be much improved entering the 2020 season. They have invested in Murray as the guy that can get them to the next level as well as trading for receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson will be attempting to repeat his dynamic season of last year. He won’t sneak up on anyone this season. It’ll be interesting to see what he can do for Baltimore this season.

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings

Aaron Rodgers can’t be happy about the Packers’ decision to draft a QB in the first round of this year’s draft. His goal is to compete and win another Super Bowl before his career comes to an end.

Las Vegas Raiders at Carolina Panthers

Jon Gruden and the Raiders will start their first season in Las Vegas with a road matchup with Carolina. They hope to turn things around from last season in their matchup against Carolina and its new quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater.
