Boston Bruins at Carolina Hurricanes Game 7 Betting Preview

The Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes face off in one of the most exciting games in sports, Game 7. This series has a consistent one, with neither team losing at home and every game going at least six or more goals each game.

The Hurricanes look to keep up that consistency with a win in PNC Arena, while the Bruins hope they can pull off the series upset and move on to the second round.

Carolina is listed as the moneyline favorite at -135 over Boston. The over/under is currently listed at 6.

Boston Bruins need to use their star power

The Boston Bruins head into Game 7 following their big 5-2, Game 6 win with help from Brad Marchand, who scored one goal and added one assist.

Now in a do-or-die situation, the Bruins will need more than just Marchand to step up with guys like David Pastrnak, who has contributed just one point in the last two games. Patrice Bergeron has also been left without a point in the last two games, so look for him to get in on the mix as well.

With Charlie McAvoy out for the game, the Bruins will need all the fire power from their forwards for some extra insurance. Goalie Jeremy Swayman will be heavily relied on and will need to continue to stay on top of his game as he has allowed just ten goals in his four starts this playoffs. He has a GAA of 2.07, an SV% of .913, and a 3-1 record with the lone loss in Game 5 in PNC Arena.

The Bruins are ninth in the playoffs in power play with a PP% of 21.4% and fifth on the penalty kill with a PK% of 84.8%. Boston also is ranked 11th in goals for with 18 and ranked ninth in goals allowed with 21.

Carolina Hurricanes Look to stay 100% at home

The Carolina Hurricanes are coming off a rough 5-2 loss that evened the series but are now back at home; they look to stay undefeated at home and move onto the second round. The Hurricanes are not known for their star power and are proving so as defenseman Tony DeAngelo is currently leading the team with eight points.

The regular season team leader in goals and points, Sebastian Aho, has been quieter than expected as he has just two goals and five points so far and two points in the last four games. Vincent Trocheck will also be relied on as he has put up three goals and seven points.

Goalie Antti Raanta has done a solid job of stepping in as the starter allowing just ten goals. He has a GAA of 2.45, SV% of .912, and a 2-2 record this playoffs. He will need to find some consistency to his game as he’s allowed four or more goals in two games of the last three games.

The Hurricanes are ranked 12th in power play with a PP% of 15.2% and eighth on the penalty kill with a PK% of 78.6%. Carolina also ranks eighth in goals for with 21 and ranked sixth in goals allowed with 18.

Bruins/Hurricanes Betting Prediction

Game 7, both teams facing elimination, the Boston Bruins and Hurricanes are set for another nail-biter. As previously stated, this series has been consistent with the home team coming out with the win and every game scoring six or more goals.

With both teams giving their best on defense and in net, it may be unlikely that we see another game of six or more goals, but with this series, you never know. Instead, we look for the winning team in this game and series.

PNC Arena has been a tough place to play for the Bruins, who have yet to pull off a win there this series. That all changes tonight as star power will play a factor with Marchand, Pastrnak, and Bergeron leading the charge.

Look for things to change in the series, with the Bruins handing the Hurricanes their first home loss to end the series. Take Bruins ML (+115).
