Brooklyn Nets at Milwaukee Bucks Betting Preview

Eastern Conference foes will square off Wednesday night as the Brooklyn Nets (1-2) take on the Milwaukee Bucks (2-0). The Bucks will host this one at Fiserv Forum, with tipoff scheduled for 7:30 pm ET.

In their last game, on Monday, the Nets fell 134-124 to the Memphis Grizzlies. In the loss, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving both had 37 points while also combining for 13 rebounds and nine assists. Nic Claxton added 16 in the defeat.

Milwaukee will be playing their first game since Saturday when they took down the Houston Rockets 125-105. Giannis Antetokounmpo led all scorers in the victory with 44 points. Jrue Holiday had a double-double with 19 points and ten assists.

The Bucks are the favorites in this one playing at home. They are -164 to win, while the Nets’ moneyline sits at +136. The spread features Brooklyn +3.5 (-108), and the over/under for total points is 233.

Nets Look To Get On Track

After losing two of their first three NBA games, the Brooklyn Nets will look to get back on track as they travel to Milwaukee to take on the Bucks. Currently holding the fifth-best odds to win the NBA Finals (+900), their slow start shouldn’t deter betters too much.

Through three games, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have led the team in scoring. Durant is averaging 32 points, 4.3 rebounds, and four assists per game. For Irving, he is averaging 27.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 5.7 assists.

One player who has struggled thus far is Ben Simmons. After being dealt to the Nets last season in the James Harden deal, he has certainly not lived up to expectations thus far. In three games, he is averaging just 5.7 points, six rebounds, and seven assists per game.

Bucks Trying To Live Up To Expectations

At 2-0, the Bucks have gotten out to a quick start and are confirming the expectations many had for this club. Coming into play Thursday, they are the favorites to win both the Eastern Conference (+260) and the NBA Finals (+550).

Of course, when you have Giannis Antetokounmpo on your team, it is no surprise why you are the favorite. Through two games, he is averaging 32.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game.

Others who have played well include Brook Lopez (13 points, 4.5 rebounds), Jrue Holiday (12.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, nine assists), and Bobby Portis (12 points, nine rebounds.

The Bucks will still be without shooting guard Khris Middleton, who is still recovering from a wrist injury.

Take the Bucks To Win At Home

Looking at the trends, there is a lot to like about the Milwaukee Bucks in this one. They are 12-6 in their last 18 games stemming back to last season, and they are 14-6 in their last 20 games played in October.

For the Nets, they are 1-5 both against the spread and straight up in their last six games against the Bucks. Furthermore, they are 1-4 in their last five road games and 1-6 in their last seven games overall.

Until Brooklyn can show a bit more consistency, it is hard to bet against Milwaukee, especially at home. Take the Bucks to win straight up (-164).

The UNDER may be an interesting bet as well. In their last seven meetings at Fiserv Forum, the total for the Nets and Bucks has gone UNDER in six of them.
