Buffalo Bills at Arizona Cardinals Betting Preview

Sunday features an interesting matchup of playoff contenders as the Buffalo Bills (7-2) will take on Arizona Cardinals (5-3). Arizona will host this one at State Farm Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 4:05 pm ET.
The Buffalo Bills currently sit in first place in the AFC East and are looking to extend their lead over Miami with a win on Sunday. In their last matchup, a 44-34 win over the Seattle Seahawks, quarterback Josh Allen shined, throwing for 415 yards and three touchdowns. He will look to stay hot against the Cardinals Sunday.
Speaking of the Cardinals, they sit in second place in the NFC West, just a game behind the Seahawks. Arizona is looking rebound after a disappointing 34-31 loss at the hands of the Miami Dolphins last Sunday. In the loss, Kyler Murray threw for 283 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for another 106 and a touchdown.
The Cardinals are the favorites in this one playing at home. They are currently -134 to win while the Bills’ moneyline is +114. The spread features the Bills +2 while the over/under for total points is 56.
By The Numbers
Arizona holds the advantage on offense in this one. They currently rank 6th overall averaging 29.2 points per game. Buffalo is 14th in the NFL, averaging 26.9 points per game.
Defensively, it is once again Arizona that holds the edge. They rank 8th in points allowed at 22.5 per game. The Bills rank 19th, allowing 25.9 points per game.
Buffalo Hopes To Keep Rolling
At 7-2, the Bills are poised to make a playoff run and would love to keep the momentum going against a solid Cardinals team. To do so, they will look to their quarterback, Josh Allen.
On the season, Allen has thrown for 2,587 yards, 19 touchdowns, and just five interceptions. His leading receivers have been Stefon Diggs (63 receptions, 813 yards, three touchdowns) and Cole Beasley (44 receptions, 533 yards, two touchdowns).
Leading the way on defense has been Jordan Poyer (60 tackles), Mario Addison and Jerry Hughes (4 sacks each), and a trio of players with one interception each.
Cardinals Look To Close Gap In Division
As we enter Week 10 and being one game back in the division, the Cardinals know that every game is crucial from this point on. With that in mind, they would love nothing more than to take out the red-hot Bills and protect their home field.
To do so, they will turn to Kyler Murray to lead the offense. He has been stellar this season, throwing for 2,130 yards, 16 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He has also been stellar on the ground, rushing 76 times for 543 yards and eight touchdowns.
Speaking of the ground game, running back Kenyon Drake returned to practice Tuesday after sitting out last week’s game. He leads the team with 119 carries for 512 yards and four scores. If he can’t go, they will once again turn to Chase Edmonds, who has 246 yards rushing and a score.
The Cardinals’ leading receivers to date have been DeAndre Hopkins (60 receptions, 734 yards, three touchdowns), Larry Fitzgerald (261 yards), and Chase Edmonds (240 yards, two touchdowns).
Taking The Cardinals Laying Two
After his monster game last week, it would be pretty easy to take the Bills in this one. With that in mind, Josh Allen’s big game came against a Seahawks team that has been exposed in the passing game. He will have a much tougher time finding the same type of success against the Cardinals’ defense.
Furthermore, Buffalo has struggled against both the pass and run this season, so Kyler Murray may once again have a big day. The Cardinals are only .500 at home (2-2), but I still like their chances to not only win but to cover the two points as well.
