Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview

Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview

In the first game of the second session of games on Sunday; the Carolina Panthers are on the road at the Seattle Seahawks. The Carolina Panthers come into the game with an 0-2 record, and have looked poor on the offensive side in both those losses. The Panthers are in last place in the NFC South, with the other three teams winning their first two decisions of the season.

The Seattle Seahawks are 1-1 on the season, and glad to be back home. After losing at home to the Rams, Seattle went on the road and beat the Lions in Detroit. Seattle is now looking to find that touch that has allowed them to play well at home for many years. The Seattle Seahawks are -5.5 in this game on Sunday, with a total of 42.5 points.

Panthers Offense Looks Offensive

The Carolina Panthers have scored just 13.5 points through their first two games of the 2023 season. Rookie quarterback Bryce Young has mostly struggled under center, completing under 60% of his passes. The passes he does complete have been pretty short. Young has thrown for 299 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Adam Thielen, who came over from Minnesota is among the leaders in receiving yards for Carolina. But, that’s just at 66 on the season. D.J. Chark, who missed Week 1 has just one reception for 15 yards on the season. Thielen and Hayden Hurst are the two lone touchdown receptions in 2023.

Miles Sanders has come over from Philadelphia and basically done things Miles Sanders has done all his life. He is averaging just shy of 4 yards per game, but has not had a run over 13 yards this season. Sanders has a touchdown and a fumble on the season. The Panthers are also mixing in Chuba Hubbard in the back field.

Seattle Looking to Use Momentum

Pete Carroll and his Seattle Seahawks will look to use all the positive momentum they got from winning 37-31 in overtime over the Lions. Seattle used over 320 passing yards from Geno Smith in the game. The game winning touchdown was a 6 yard strike to Tyler Lockett on the first drive of overtime. Lockett wrapped up the game with eight receptions, 59 yards and two touchdowns.

To go along with Lockett, is receiver D.K. Metcalf. Those two have combined for 19 receptions and just shy of 200 yards, with 3 touchdowns. They are the only two guys with receiving touchdowns for Seattle thus far. Kenneth Walker scored twice in the win over Detroit, and is averaging just shy of 4 yards per carry.

The Seahawks will play on Monday Night Football in Week 4, and then take their bye week in Week 5. After that, Seattle is on the road at the Cincinnati Bengals. The Seahawks then wrap up the month of October with home games against the Cardinals and Browns.

Seahawks Pound Panthers; Dropping Carolina to 0-3

The Carolina Panthers did not envision the start they are on. The Panthers were hoping to inject some new life into the blood of the organization with a starting rookie quarterback. But, it has just yet to get going for the Panthers early on. Seattle, with their win on the road should have a ton of momentum and excitement for this one.

Look for Seattle to jump out early, and this could be a game where the Seahawks win every quarter of the game. The Seahawks win easily on Sunday over the Panthers. Bet the Seahawks -5.5 over Carolina.
