Reds Moving to Plan B
Nick Lodolo was slated to get the start for the Reds in this game, but went on the IL with a groin issue. Instead, Brent Suter will get the nod for the Reds. Suter has thrown 25.2 innings this season, but has yet to make a start. He is 0-0 with a 3.86 earned run average. He made two starts with the Rockies last season.
The Reds offense has been nearly rock bottom as of late. The Reds are hitting just .220, which is one of the worst in all of Major League Baseball. Cincinnati has 39 homeruns on the season, which ranks 20th in the league. The top home run hitter for the Reds has been Elly De La Cruz, as he has 9. He also has stolen 26 bases on the season.

Dodgers Going with Glasnow
The Los Angeles Dodgers will use Tyler Glasnow. The Dodgers righthander has been excellent in his first season with the team. Glasnow has 73 strikeouts over 9 starts this season. He holds a 6-1 record, and has a 2.53 earned run average on the season.
Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman both had two hits, but it was not enough on Thursday. Betts is now hitting .348, while Freeman is up to .299 on the season. Los Angeles will remain at home after this weekend. Arizona comes to town for a three game series, before the Dodgers head to Cincinnati for next weekend. After that, they will head to New York to battle the Mets.

The Dodgers are going to win this game. The Dodgers offense is way too much, and without Suter having much experience as a starter, this is going to be a bullpen game. The Reds bullpen is not super strong.
