Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Chargers Betting Pick
The Monday Night Football game for Week 6 of the National Football League will feature the Dallas Cowboys at SoFi Stadium to take on the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Cowboys come into the game with a 3-2 record but coming off a blowout loss to the 49ers last weekend. For the Chargers, they are coming off their bye week. Before the bye, the Chargers topped the Las Vegas Raiders to move to 2-2 on the season.
The Chargers are second in the AFC West, behind Kansas City. The Dallas Cowboys are -2.5 over the Chargers in this game. The total is set at 50.5 points.
Chargers Seeking Third Straight Win
The Chargers’ top running back, Austin Ekeler, is expected to return in this game. In his absence has been Joshua Kelley. While Kelley has got the job done for the most part, the Chargers will enjoy the electricity that Ekeler brings to the offense.
Quarterback Justin Herbert has been pretty solid, completing 71% of his passes for over 1,100 yards and seven touchdowns on the season. The quarterback has found Keenan Allen the most with 35 receptions in four games, with three touchdowns.
Los Angeles is without Mike Williams, so guys like Joshua Palmer, Gerald Everett, and rookie Quentin Johnston will need to step up. Los Angeles lost their first two games of the season by a combined five points against the Dolphins and Titans. They then bounced back with four and seven-point wins over the Vikings and Raiders.
The Chargers are at Kansas City next week before hosting the Bears on Sunday Night Football in Week 8 and at the Jets for Monday Night Football in Week 9.
Cowboys Chomping at the Bit
There has been plenty of discussion around the Dallas Cowboys since the 42-10 loss to the 49ers. The loss sent Dallas to 3-2 on the season. The three wins for the Cowboys were over the Giants, Jets, and Patriots, three of the worst teams in the league so far this season. The Cowboys have the Rams, Eagles, and Giants in their next three games.
Dak Prescott has over 1,000 passing yards but has thrown four interceptions so far this season. On the other side, he has just five touchdown passes.
Dallas is led in the run game by Tony Pollard, with 340 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. Rico Dowdle and KaVontae Turpin have also got some carries in the first season since letting Ezekiel Elliott leave.
CeeDee Lamb leads the receiving core for the Cowboys. He has 358 yards in five games, with just one touchdown on the season. Jake Ferguson, KaVontae Turpin, Rico Dowdie, and Luke Schoonmaker also have touchdown catches for Dallas. The Cowboys, on the defensive side, have seen their cornerback, DaRon Bland, intercept three passes this season.
Chargers Top Cowboys on Monday Night Football
Look for a fun game in Los Angeles, but when push comes to shove, we are taking the Los Angeles Chargers. With the Cowboys comes a ton of hype, and they just are not living up to that hype quite yet. The defense beat up on some bad teams, and the offense still has yet to click.
The Chargers get Ekeler back, and Herbert continues to find the open guys. This is going to be a massive win for Los Angeles, but they get it at home.
The final bet for this Monday Night Football affair is the Los Angeles Chargers +2.5 over the Dallas Cowboys. Consider taking the Chargers on the money line as well!
