Dallas Cowboys at Miami Dolphins Betting Pick – Week 16
A big game in the National Football League on Sunday features the Miami Dolphins hosting the Dallas Cowboys. Both teams come into the game with a 10-4 record. The Cowboys are first in the NFC East, as they are tied with the Eagles, but currently own the tiebreaker. If the postseason started today, Dallas would be the #2 seed, and start at home. The Cowboys are coming off a tough loss on the road at Buffalo last week.
For the Miami Dolphins, they are two games up in the AFC East. A win and a Buffalo loss will seal the deal for the divisional title. Miami and Buffalo play each other in Week 18. Miami is coming off a thrashing over the New York Jets last week. The big question for the Dolphins is the health of their star Tyreek Hill.
The Dolphins are -1.5 in this game over the Cowboys. The total for this affair comes in at 51.5 points.
Cowboys Looking to Get Back on Track
Following their home win over the Eagles, things were looking great for Coach McCarthy and the Cowboys. But, then the trip to Buffalo did not go well, and now they will look to get back on track in South Beach.
The Cowboys are one of the top scoring teams in all of the National Football League. In fact, they are second only to their opponent – the Miami Dolphins. Dallas is scoring 30.8 points per game. Much of that is the connection Dak Prescott has found with CeeDee Lamb. Lamb has 1,306 yards and 8 touchdowns on the season. Tony Pollard has taken over as the lead running back this season, and has 848 yards and 5 touchdowns on the ground.
The Dallas Cowboys tough stretch of games will continue next week. The Cowboys and Lions meet up on Saturday in Dallas. After that, the Cowboys finish on the road at the Washington Commanders.
Miami Wants Top Seed
Coach Mike McDaniel and the Miami Dolphins would love the comforts of their own field in the postseason. It’s possible with three wins, but it will be a challenge. The Dolphins are 6-1 at home, with the lone loss coming to the Titans on Monday Night Football. Miami is scoring 31.5 points per game. That’s due in large part to their passing offense, which is first in the NFL with 274 yards per game.
Tyreek Hill is questionable in this game. He has been the best receiver in the NFL this season. Hill has 97 receptions for 1,542 yards and 12 touchdowns on the season. The run game has seen Raheem Mostert burst on the scene, with 966 yards and 18 touchdowns as well.
For the Miami Dolphins, they are in the start of a tough stretch to finish the season. The Dolphins are at the Ravens next Sunday in what could decide who the top seed in the AFC is. Then, the Dolphins host the Bills on January 7th.
Thriller on South Beach
We expect this to be as good of games as advertised. The Dolphins lost on Monday Night Football at home to the Titans, and that may have woken a sleeping giant. Last week, the Dolphins were able to win without Tyreek Hill.
Expect Hill to return in this game, and the Dolphins offense to get going. Dallas struggles on the road, and against good teams. Look for another Dallas loss, as the Dolphins win their 11th on the season. Take the Miami Dolphins -1.5 in this one over the Dallas Cowboys.
