Dallas Stars at Edmonton Oilers Game 4 Betting Preview

Game 4 of the best of 7 series in the Western Conference Finals will take place on Wednesday night. The Dallas Stars lead the series 2-1 following back to back wins. The winner of this series will head to the Stanley Cup Finals, and take on the winner of the New York Rangers and Florida Panthers.

Dallas is the top seed in the Western Conference following their 52-21-9 regular season record. The Stars needed seven games to get out of the first round against Vegas. In the second round, they used six to eliminate Colorado. The Stars won 8 out of their last 10 regular season games to sail into postseason play.

For Edmonton, they went 49-27-6 in the regular season. That came after a slow start, which saw them fire their head coach. The Oilers finished second in the Pacific Division. Edmonton beat the Los Angeles Kings in five games, and then eliminated the Vancouver Canucks in seven games. After winning game 1, the Oilers have dropped back to back affairs.

The Edmonton Oilers are -130 in this game at home over the Dallas Stars.

Dallas Two Wins Away

Dallas saw their top scorer step up in the Game 3 win. Jason Robertson scored back to back second period goals, and added a third period goal for the hat trick. The leading scorer during the regular season now has six in the postseason.

Wyatt Johnston and Mro Heiskanen were the other two goal scorers for Dallas. It was the 8th of the postseason for Johnston, while Heiskanen has six. Goaltender Jake Oettinger turned away 27 shots, and won his 10th game of the postseason so far.

During the regular season, the Stars were one of the most well balanced teams in the National Hockey League. Dallas scored more than 3.5 goals per game. They had the sixth best power play, and were 8th on defense. Dallas allowed just 2.83 goals per game.

Oilers Need Bounce Back Win

It was a great start for the Edmonton Oilers. Zach Hyman scored his 13th goal of the postseason just 2:02 into the game. Connor McDavid added a second, and it was 2-0 Oilers after one. The Stars then scored the next three goals. Edmonton tied it just before the end of the second with an Adam Henrique goal.

Stuart Skinner was unable to keep the Stars off the board in the third. He finished with just 17 saves in the game. He is now 8-5 in the postseason. During the regular season, he went 36-16-5 on the season, and allowed 2.62 goals per game.

Connor McDavid was the leading assist man during the regular season in the league. He finished with 100. He also added 32 goals this season. Hyman led the team in goals with 54, while Leon Draisaitl recorded 65 assists.

Oilers Even Series

We like the Edmonton Oilers to get back on track here. Something has got to change defensively, and look for them to do that. We know they are going to get their chances on offense. We like the Oilers to bounce back at home, and make this a really fun series.

A win for the Oilers here would force it to a best of three series heading back to Dallas. Our final bet for this game on Wednesday is the Edmonton Oilers -130 over the Dallas Stars. Enjoy the game and best of luck!
