FanDuel and the PGA Tour have agreed to a three-year extension through 2024 to their content and marketing relationship. This will continue to keep the sportsbook operator as an Official Betting Operator of the PGA TOUR.

FanDuel Continues its Marketing Relationship with the PGA Tour

The PGA Tour and Fanduel will also use the TOUR’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts to deliver odd-based content to fans. The deal comes after the two parties agreed to a multi-year agreement in August 2020.

The goal is to enhance the fan experience and fan engagement moving forward. FanDuel already has a partnership with Jordan Spieth and will continue to grow.

Norb Gambuzza, PGA Tour Senior Vice President, Media, and Gaming, stated in a press release, “FanDuel is a market leader in the United States and we look forward to extending our relationship in the sports betting space for three more years.”

As part of the deal, FanDuel will have the keys to the TOUR marks and the rights to advertise the content within TOUR media and TOUR partner platforms. FanDuel will also be permitted to create pre-game and post-game programming throughout the United States.

The PGA Tour has been active in the sports betting industry since the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) was overturned in May 2018. Ever since that took place, the PGA Tour has developed a “robust integrity program” with Genius Sports.

Later that same year, a global partnership with IMG ARENA was announced to license its official, live scoring data to betting operators worldwide.

The TOUR is also a platinum member of the National Council on Problem Gambling and is aligned with the American Gaming Association. It’s an initiative to promote responsible gambling at these events.

The AGA public service campaign is “Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly.

The Additional Information in Regards to the Deal

The deal between the two parties aligns perfectly because FanDuel is one of the industry leaders in promoting safe and responsible play for its customers. It is also aligned with AGA’s campaign.

FanDuel is also the only major sportsbook operator that offers Gamban, an international software provided to its customers and meant to show that a bettor has compulsive gaming issues. At this point and time, Gamban has blocked more than 15,000 legal and off-shore gambling sites up to 15 different family devices.

Mike Raffensperger, CMO FanDuel Group, stated in a press release, “We are excited to continue our relationship with the PGA Tour, a partnership that has been one of our most innovative and groundbreaking since its inception,…We value the Tour’s willingness to be a first mover in bringing new features like real-time highlights into our app, which enhance the entertainment experience for the Tour’s passionate fans.”
