FanDuel Sportsbook Already Has Early Odds on Brady, Gronkowski Props

Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans are having quite the quarantine season, standing right by the edge of the doorway waiting to bust down those doors and celebrate with one another. If Bucs fans weren’t obeying social distancing orders before, perhaps now they’ll be more inclined to do so in hopes of being allowed into games this season.
On Tuesday, the Bucs and New England Patriots completed a trade that sent tight end Rob Gronkowski and a seventh-round pick to Tampa Bay in exchange for a fourth-round pick. Gronkowski rejoins his old QB Tom Brady after a year off from the game. One of the greatest tight ends in football history has a laundry list of injuries throughout his career and called it quits after the Patriots won the Super Bowl in 2019 against the Los Angeles Rams.
However, that retirement didn’t last too long. Last month, the Bucs surprisingly signed Brady to a two-year, $60-million contract without even having the future Hall of Famer meet face-to-face with head coach Bruce Arians. Brady’s signing down in Tampa opened the door for a possibility of Gronk returning to the game.
“Rob Gronkowski is one of the best tight ends in NFL history, and he plays the game with the type of passion and desire that sets him apart,” said Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht. “Rob has played his entire career alongside Tom Brady, and their accomplishments speak for themselves. Together they have developed the type of chemistry on and off the field that is crucial to success.”
Gronkowski’s signing with the Bucs now gives Brady the best collection of targets he will ever have in his career. On the outside will be WRs Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, while Gronk will be in two-TE sets with either Cameron Brate or O.J. Howard – odds are, it’ll be the latter of the two moving on from Tampa.
With all this excitement going on in Tampa Bay, FanDuel Sportsbook has decided to go ahead and make the most out of it. The U.S. leader in online sports betting has created odds on a few different outcomes.
Who will catch Tom Brady’s first TD pass?
- Chris Godwin (+195)
- Mike Evans (+200)
- Rob Gronkowski (+340)
- Cameron Brate/O.J. Howard/Ronald Jones (+700)
- Dare Ogunbowale (+1100)
- Justin Watson (+1600)
- Scott Miller (+1800)
Rob Gronkowski – 2020 Regular Season Total Receiving TDs
- Over 5.5 (+120)
- Under 5.5 (-154)
Rob Gronkowski – 2020 Regular Season Total Receiving Yards
- Over 599.5 (-112)
- Under 599.5 (-112)
In addition, the Buccaneers’ odds have increased up to +1500 to win the Super Bowl, +750 to win the NFC Championship, and +160 to win the NFC South.
When it comes to the competition, FanDuel doesn’t believe many teams will be better than the Buccaneers this season. The only AFC teams with better odds than them are the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens, while the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints have the advantage in the NFC.
In fact, the Bucs’ +160 odds to win the NFC South are only slightly topped by the Saints at -110.
