Golden State Warriors at Indiana Pacers Betting Preview

The Warriors head to Indiana for another road contest, this time with the up-and-down Pacers. Rick Carlisle will not be coaching as he is in COVID-19 health and safety protocol, so former Hawks headman Lloyd Pierce has been filling in. This means it is his job to keep #30 on the other team from making history against them, making sure his guys stay ready.

Stephen Curry entered a primetime game with Philly on Saturday, needing nine threes to tie Ray Allen’s record and 10 to break. He hit just three, so he now needs six to tie and seven to break, which is very likely going to happen in this game.

Doing it against the team that the great Reggie Miller spent his whole career playing with would be pretty cool, even though he has been passed several times. The original GOAT shooter.

As for Indy, though, they sit at 12-16 and will be unloading some great players over the next month or two. They have said that nobody is really untouchable, and players who signed over the summer are trade-eligible as of December 15th. The team has a good personnel grouping but have continued to underachieve. Plus, losing T.J. McConnell for most of the year all but dooms them.

The Dubs will look to continue to make it rain threes, looking for their 22nd victory in 27 games to begin the year.

Betting Odds & Lines

The spread for Monday favors the visitors, GSW -3.5. The over/under is set at 213.5 points. The IND moneyline is +132, while GS Is -162.

Dubs Look to Bounce Back

Losing has not been common for the 4X champs this year. Last crowned in 2018 when they swept the Cavs, the Warriors have been proving all season long that the dynasty has more left, that more history is still being written. They have also officially assigned James Wiseman and Klay Thompson to the G-League affiliate, so, even more help is coming soon.

Steph has continued to be magnificent, while the sharpshooting of Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole has given them a significant lift. Draymond Green has been scoring a little and continuing to be an elite facilitator. And their deep bench rotation has made good things happen.

This is all about Curry, though. History is coming.

Pacers Seek Win No. 13

If Indiana can keep Steph from making three-point history, it would do them a lot of good. Because whatever team he makes the record-breaking attempt against will be in the memories of all basketball fans forever, a moment that will be captured in the Hall of Fame.

So, they need to do two things. Make literally anybody else beat them and establish themselves in the paint. They have a big man-size advantage and should unleash Myles Turner right away. Malcolm Brogdon should be able to score at least 25. And Chris Duarte needs to can some triples.

They can win this. It’s not out of the question.

Steph Makes History, Dubs Win

#30 will hit nine threes and become the all-time leader in made threes. The Warriors will also beat Indy, taking care of business again.

Betting Picks: GS -3.5, Over 213.5
