It’s Game 4 of the best of 7 series in the American League Championships between the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers. The Houston Astros came away with a win in Game 3 to make the series 2-1 in favor of the Texas Rangers.

Astros With Momentum Heading into Game 3

Jose Altuve and Yordan Alvarez had two hits, while Mauricio Dubon had three, and the Astros pounded out 12 hits on Max Scherzer and the Rangers pitching. That got the Astros in the win column and back in the series. Altuve clubbed his second home run of the postseason, while Christian Javier once again threw a gem in the postseason. Javier went 5.2 innings, allowing just three hits.

In the postseason, Alvarez has been scorching hot. He leads the team with a .407 batting average while clubbing six home runs and driving in 10 runs. He leads all of Major League Baseball in the postseason with 31 total bases.

The Astros need more from Alex Bregman, who has struggled with just five hits in 27 at bats. Kyle Tucker is another guy who has struggled big time, with just three hits in seven games. Tucker had a terrific regular season, leading the team with a .284 batting average.

The Houston Astros will turn to Jose Urquidy in this game. Urquidy is a 28-year-old right-hander from Mexico. He has made one postseason appearance and went 5.2 innings against the Twins, allowing just three hits and two runs. During the regular season, he made ten starts and 63 innings, striking out 45 batters. He finished with a 3-3 record and a 5.29 earned run average.

Texas Seeking Big Home Bounce Back

After a couple of big wins, the Rangers trailed early in the loss on Wednesday. Despite the loss, the Rangers still clawed out five runs. Josh Jung hit his third home run of the postseason. That leads the team, and his seven runs batted in is second on the team to Mitch Garver. Jung also leads the team with a .355 average in the postseason.

During the regular season, the Rangers finished as one of the top offensive teams in Major League Baseball, with just shy of 900 runs scored. Texas also saw a team batting average of .263, which was the second-best. Adolis Garcia put together the best season of his career, with 39 home runs and 107 runs batted in. Corey Seager hit .327 to anchor the offense.

Andrew Heaney is the starting pitcher for the Rangers. Heaney started a postseason game in Baltimore but retired just 11 batters before being removed from the game. He allowed just two hits and a single run in the game. The 32-year-old lefthander went 10-6 during the regular season and had a 4.15 earned run average.

Astros Even Series at 2

Look for the Houston Astros to continue their comeback. The Astros have been there and done that, and this team is ready to tie this series up. These two teams have had back-and-forth moments all season, and this is the time for the Astros to have theirs.

When you bet on this game, the final bet to make is the Houston Astros +102 over the Texas Rangers in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series on Thursday. Enjoy the game, and best of luck!
