Mahomes and Chiefs on the Road

There will be plenty of talk about Patrick  Mahomes and playing on the road. The signal caller has never played a road playoff game. The Super Bowl games he has played are neutral sites. Everything else has been at home. So, how will they respond to being in Buffalo on Sunday evening?

The Chiefs are winning ugly, and they are okay with it. This is a Chiefs team that won six straight after losing to the Lions to start the regular season. Kansas City ranks 15th in the league in offense, as they are scoring 21.8 points per game. Defense is what has helped them most, allowing just 17.3 points per game.

Mahomes went for 4,183 yards, and 984 of them were to Travis Kelce. Kelce finished with 5 touchdowns on the season. In the win over the Dolphins, Kelce caught 7 passes. Rashee Rice was the top target, with 8 receptions, and 130 yards with a touchdown. Isaiah Pacheco also scored a touchdown.

Buffalo Loving Cold Weather

In spite of the frigid temperatures, the Buffalo Bills are currently on fire. Having secured victory in their last six consecutive games, the Bills demonstrated their prowess in the December match against the Chiefs.

During this clash, Josh Allen showed a fantastic performance, throwing for 233 yards, securing a touchdown, and grappling with an interception. James Cook played a pivotal role, accumulating 138 all-purpose yards and contributing to the scoreboard.

The recent win, picked up over the weekend, was marked with Josh Allen taking center stage. The quarterback orchestrated three touchdown passes and added another through a rushing play. Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Know, and Khalil Shakir were on the receiving end of Allen’s aerial prowess, while Stefon Diggs concluded the battle with 52 yards.

Cook wrapped up the regular season with an impressive tally of over 1,100 rushing yards, significantly contributing to the Bills’ rank as the 7th team with the highest rushing yards in the league, totaling 130.1. Buffalo finished 6th in offense, averaging 26.5 points per game, and an impressive 4th rank in defense, allowing only 18.3 points per game.

Fun Game Between Rivals

We are really excited for this game. Two teams that we are sure would win a Super Bowl. Both teams will be underdogs when they go on the road to Baltimore next week. Both teams are familiar with each other. Both teams have plenty to prove.

The game being in Buffalo, and those fans are bound to be wild and crazy. THat’s enough for us to give the Bills an edge here. The spread is -3, and that is likely about right. But, we will side with Buffalo to win by a touchdown at home. Take Buffalo -3 over Kansas City!
