Latest Up-to-Date World Series Odds
The middle of August is here, and the betting odds to win the 2023 World Series have been updated to reflect how things have gone.
The trade deadline is over, and players have been moved, and some teams have started to back out of contention. Let’s take a look at the updated Betting Odds to win the 2023 World Series.
Atlanta Braves +330
This team and their offense are just incredible. They are doing everything right and scoring runs like crazy. Austin Riley and Ronald Acuna are doing plenty, then you get Matt Olson, who took over the lead for home runs in Major League Baseball.
The Braves came into the Sunday Night Baseball game and led all of baseball by 40 in the home run department. Atlanta also led in runs scored over the Rangers, Dodgers, and Rays.
It’s not like the pitching has been poor, as Spencer Strider is a Cy Young candidate, and Max Fried is back and ready to bring a lefthanded element to the rotation. The Braves are big favorites at +330.
Los Angeles Dodgers +450
Another team with an incredible duo of hitters. The Dodgers have Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman.
Freeman is likely the runner-up for the Most Valuable Player in the National League, and Betts is likely going to finish in the Top 5 in the NL in home runs hit. The Dodgers had a competition in the National League West in the first half of the season, but the second half has been all Los Angeles.
Lance Lynn adding depth to the rotation is going to prove to be a good move. The Dodgers are second in favorites at +450.
Tampa Bay Rays +800
The Rays are still holding on despite all the things going against them. The starting pitching is beat up, and now the Wander Franco news is not good for the Rays.
Tampa Bay will continue to plug away, as they have a nice wildcard lead still. Catching Baltimore is not out of the realm, as they are a team that can get on, get over and get in as well as anyone in the league.
Tampa Bay has the second most stolen bases in MLB with 129. The Rays have the sixth-best earned run average in all of baseball at 3.84.
Houston Astros +800
The Houston Astros added Justin Verlander to the rotation, and meanwhile, hoping the no-hit version of Framber Valdez remains the final five to six weeks of the season. The Astros have the third-best ERA in all of baseball at 3.79.
The Astros’ 55 quality starts is third in baseball behind the Twins and Mariners. On the offensive side, Kyle Tucker is an MVP candidate but will ultimately lose out to Shohei Ohtani. The Astros have scored the sixth most runs in all of baseball.
Texas Rangers +900
There is only one team in Major League Baseball with more runs scored than the Texas Rangers. The Rangers and their 670 runs are 52 more than Tampa Bay, second in the AL.
The biggest surprise has been the pitching Texas has put together. The Rangers have thrown 51 quality starts, which is tied for 8th in all of Major League Baseball. Additions of Max Scherzer and Jordan Montgomery should be huge for this club down the stretch.
Baltimore Orioles +1100
Baltimore is 28 games over .500 and still holds a three-game lead in the American League East heading into the new week. The Orioles have seen pretty solid pitching, with a team ERA of 4.10, but they really have seen solid offense.
The Orioles are 9th in runs scored. The top threats for the Orioles this season on offense have been Austin Hays, with his .280 average, and Anthony Santander, with 21 home runs and 64 runs batted in.
Baltimore hopes the addition of Jack Flaherty to the rotation will help the need for more innings from the starters.
