Los Angeles Clippers at Phoenix Suns Game 5 Betting Preview

The Clippers are going to have to put-up or shut-up as we head into Game 5.

They have worked their tails off to make this series competitive without their stars, but it seems it will take a miracle for them to be able to punch their ticket to the next round. All but one other series around the league is also 3-1, and so this could be one of several coming to an end.

As the teams prepare for battle, Russell Westbrook has done everything possible to keep the team afloat. He won them Game 1, and will hope to do the same in this one. But on the Phoenix side, the keys remain with the superstars that are actually on the floor.

Continue to play through them and let them cook for 48 minutes, and a win should be what follows suit.

Los Angeles Clippers at Phoenix Suns Odds

  • Spread: Suns -12.5
  • Moneyline: Clippers +587, Suns -900
  • Over/Under: 224

Do or Die for Clippers

It all comes down to this one for the Los Angeles Clippers. For all of the championship aspirations they have discussed, it looks like a first-round exit may await them after failing to make it this far a season ago.

Injuries have mounted on them yet again, and it’s hard to actually voice, but this could be the end for them. The lack of availability between Kawhi Leonard and Paul George has made it hard for them to find any kind of consistency.

They have an incredible depth chart, but it loses its luster when the top bench players get forced into starting duty. Russ is leading the team in scoring over the past two games, including dropping 37 in Game 4.

It’s a far cry from the guy who shot 3-19 in the series opener, before making the block and save at the end of the game to get them to a victory. It does seem like the clock might strike midnight on them just a bit too soon.

Suns Aim to Advance

A victory for the Phoenix Suns could help them punch their ticket into round two. When they traded for Kevin Durant, this is the vision they saw in their minds.

The way they have been playing basketball hasn’t been great to watch from a fundamental perspective, but KD has aided Devin Booker in scoring and playmaking. The two have them have looked unstoppable, scoring at will in their 44 minutes a night.

They may not hold up well if they have to play this much the entire run, but for now, it’s all good for them. The lack of bench depth has not cost them much just yet, but it is something to keep an eye on.

Chris Paul is a strong third option for the offense, while DeAndre Ayton has provided real value from the center position. Time to see if they are ready to close it out, or if they blow it.

Take The Suns

This is the end of the line for LA. Make sure to ride with Suns spread and moneyline. Take the under. Phoenix, you’re moving on.
