Miami Dolphins at Cincinnati Bengals Betting Preview

The Miami Dolphins head to Ohio to face the Cincinnati Bengals as the two clubs wrap up their preseason. This is the end of a shorter one, involving each club playing only three games. Unfortunately, injuries have still occurred, but they should be happening at a lesser rate. This is still football at the end of the day.

Miami doesn’t have Ryan Fitzpatrick anymore, so no longer does a reason to bench Tua Tagovailoa exist. He will be the every down signal-caller as the team looks to get to the playoffs again. It has been a few years, but perhaps they have the team to make it happen. They have got some very good defensive players and have continued to bring good names in to join the squad.

Cincy, on the other hand, is seeking improvement. The good news is that they put some money into improving the offensive line. And Joe Burrow is coming back for the first week of the year to guide his team. The Bengals have never done much, and playoff success is pretty much one of their allergies. Burrow is the guy to take them to the next level if he can just stay healthy all year long.

For each side, ending the preseason with a win could boost morale coming into 2021.

Betting Odds & Lines

The spread for the game favors CINCY, -2. The over/under is set at 36 points. The CIN moneyline is -127, and the underdog Dolphins at +105.

Fins Seeking Road Win

A victory here could end the preseason on a high note for the Dolphins. They have put a heavy focus on drafting offensive linemen in recent years, and it has paid off with a very solid line. They had five picks within the first three rounds, thanks to some clever trades made. Jaylen Waddle will make a fine addition, as will Jaelen Phillips.

They brought in Will Fuller as well to give Tua another weapon. They have a very underrated tight end in Mike Gesicki already here. The weaknesses are few and far between for the club, and they seem poised to have a big year.

In this preseason battle, they will look to showcase their rising talent.

Bengals Look for Reason to Smile

The Bengals weren’t good last year. Or the year before. Andy Dalton took them to the playoffs a few times. AJ McCarron got a postseason start. But, neither one could get them over the hump. And the same was true of Carson Palmer before them.

With Burrow, they have a real gamer. They selected Ja’Marr Chase in the first round, and he projects to be a star. With Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd here, too, life is good for the receivers. The questions will be more about the defense for this team. And playing in the AFC North right now is a death sentence for a team trying to win now.

All in all, Cincy will be a fun team. But it will be a rough campaign.

Bengals Snatch Win

Sorry, Dolphins. The Bengals backups will guide them to a preseason W to end the year.
