Spartans Look to Continue Winning Ways
The Michigan State Spartans are looking to continue their hot play, which includes wins over Rutgers, Minnesota and Maryland. The last time the Spartans lost was a tight one on the road at Illinois. Greg Gard and his Wisconsin Badgers seem to have things figured out. Nearing the midway point, and leading the Big Ten is a huge feather in the cap for the Badgers. This is a team that started the season 1-2. In the latest win over Minnesota, Tyler Wahl scored 16 points, including two free throws late to help the win.
The top scorer on the season for Wisconsin has been AJ Strorr. He is scoring more than 15 points per game. Steven Crowl is next for the Badgers. Crowl is at 11.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Wisconsin’s last loss came on the road at Penn State; 87-83.
Wisconsin is playing their final game of January here. After this game, the Badgers have three of their next four on the road. The first one is at Nebraska. The lone home game is February 4th against Purdue, and then they will go to Michigan and Rutgers.
