A pair of teams near the top of the NBA standings will get together on Friday in a potential NBA Finals preview. The Milwaukee Bucks are at the Minnesota Timberwolves. Milwaukee started the second half of the season with a 35-21 record. The Bucks sit in third place in the East, behind the Celtics and the Cavaliers. Milwaukee dropped their final two games before the All Star Game.
For Minnesota, it has been an incredible season so far. The Timberwolves were the top seed in the Western Conference at the All Star Game. Minnesota has won 39 out of 55 games this season. The Timberwolves blew out Portland just before the All Star Game, which was their fourth straight win.

Bucks Looking for Second Half Push
The addition of Damian Lillard certainly has made the Milwaukee offense more dynamic. But, something has not gone great as of late with the Bucks losing 7 out of 10 games. Milwaukee is getting just shy of 25 points per game from Lillard. He is also averaging nearly 7 assists per game.
The Greek Freak, Giannis Antetokounmpo, is having another MVP-type season. The big man is scoring 30.8 points per game, ripping down 11.2 rebounds, and dishing out 6.4 assists per game. Kris Middleton is third on the team, just shy of 15 points per game.
The Bucks will remain on the road after this game, for a trip to Philadelphia. After hosting the Hornets, they will play at Charlotte to end the month. March starts with a road game in Chicago on the 1st.
Timberwolves Surprising in 2024
The Minnesota Timberwolves are one of the biggest surprises in all of the National Basketball Association. To have the Timberwolves and Thunder lead the West at the All Star Break would have won bettors a ton of money. Now, the Timberwolves look to close the regular season strong as well.
Minnesota is scoring just 114 points per game, which is 18th in the league. The defense has been great for the TImberwolves, allowing just 101.25 points per game over their current four game winning streak. Leading the offensive charge for Minnesota has been Anthony Edwards, with 26.3 points per game.
The Timberwolves are starting a seven game home stand with this one. The Nets will come to town on Saturday, followed by visits from the Spurs, Grizzlies, Kings, Clippers and Trail Blazers. The next time Minnesota is on the road is March 7th at Indiana.
Bucks Stun Timberwolves
This should be an absolutely electric game. Many times fans of the National Basketball Association complain about lack of effort in regular season games. We expect this one to not lack any of that. We project both teams to play hard, and play good basketball.
