Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview

The Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks will mix it up on Thursday as the second game of Week 1 of the preseason. The Vikings and Seahawks will play at Lumen Field in Seattle, and the game can be seen on NFL Network.
The last time these two teams played was during the 2021 season when the Vikings beat the Seahawks 30-17. Let’s take a look at this preseason betting preview:
The Seattle Seahawks come into this game as the favorites. The Seahawks are listed at -2.5, and the total for this game is 35 points.
Seahawks Looking at Youngsters
The Seattle Seahawks will get an opportunity to look at several youngsters in this game. Running back Zach Charbonnet, along with receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba are both going to play key roles in the offense. On the defensive side, Devon Witherspoon, out of Illinois, and Derick Hall from Auburn are going to get their chances as well.
Charbonnet may get plenty of opportunities this season, especially if the groin injury to Kenneth Walker is larger than first let on. Walker was the top running back a season ago, fresh off his final year at Michigan State. DeeJay Dallas is in the mix as well at running back. Walker finished with 1,050 rushing yards a season ago.
The Seahawks are going to have an impressive receiving core if all can stay healthy. DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett form one of the best duo of receivers in the league. Noah Fant and Wiss Dissly are going to get tight-end opportunities.
A season ago, Geno Smith finished with 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions on more than 4,200 passing yards. Seattle also saw DK Metcalf finish with more than 1,000 receiving yards last year.
Minnesota Looking to Repeat
The Minnesota Vikings won the NFC North a season ago, and their goal this season is to do it again. A couple of the names that will get looks early in the season are wide receiver Jordan Addison, along with defensive stars Mekhi Blackmon, Jay Ward, and Jaquelin Roy. All three of those guys were menacing defensively in college and will look to carry it over to the professional side.
The Vikings will once again send Kirk Cousins under center but sent Delvin Cook along, and will be replaced by Alexander Mattison. Justin Jefferson remains the star of the offense, while the Vikings sent out Adam Thielen as well. T.J. Hockenson looks to continue his impressive career with a big season in Minnesota.
The Vikings will start the regular season at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before they have to go on the road and take on the Eagles, who are defending NFC Champions.
Seahawks Win at Home
As we know, the preseason is basically a crap shoot. In the end, though, Seattle at home is going to come out with a little more excitement and ready-to-play than Minnesota. We are going to take the Seahawks at home as the underdogs.
Bet the Seattle Seahawks +2.5 over the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday.
