NBA All Star Game Betting Pick and Prediction

The 2019 NBA All-Star Game is set to tip off on Sunday evening in Charlotte, North Carolina, and will once again feature the greatest basketball players in the world. This will be the second straight season that the top vote-getters from each Conference have picked a roster, and the new format was great a season ago. LeBron James has assembled a talented group of scorers on his roster, while Giannis Antetokounmpo picked some of the best international players in the NBA.

There will be several of prop bets available on the All-Star Game, but let’s focus on the over/under and point spread. The NBA All-Star Game has turned into an offensive clinic, and the over/under for this year’s game is set at 311 points. Vegas is also giving Team LeBron the slight edge of Team Giannis, making them a 5.5 point favorite.

Team LeBron Loaded With Veterans

LeBron James was clearly looking to assemble a roster full of All-Star Game veterans with his picks, and his players have combined for 81 All-Star Game appearances. Point guard Ben Simmons is the only player on Team LeBron making his All-Star Game debut but was the Rookie of the Year a season ago. James also has two of the best scorers in the NBA on his roster in James Harden and Kevin Durant. Harden is putting up monster numbers so far this season and has recorded at least 30 points in 31 straight games. If Durant is ever able to get the ball away from Harden, he will prove to the world that he remains one of the best basketball players on the planet. There might not be enough basketballs to go around for Team LeBron, but that team is loaded with talented players.

Team Giannis Has Size Advantage

Apparently, Giannis Antetokounmpo was worried about grabbing rebounds in this game, because he just kept selecting big men. Centers Nikola Vucevic and Nikola Jokic might be listed as a center, but they are capable of doing a ton of things on a basketball floor. Team Giannis will also feature the hometown hero, Kemba Walker, which should be a huge boost. Walker is averaging close to 25 points per game this season, and will likely see a ton of shots when he is on the floor. Stephen Curry is also capable of carrying Team Giannis and comes in making close to 45 percent of his three-point attempts. If Antetokounmpo is hoping to lead his team to victory, he might have to do most of the heavy lifting. The “Greek Freak” might be the MVP at this point of the season, leading the Bucks with 27 points, 5.9 assists, and 12.4 rebounds per game.

Team LeBron Wins

Team Giannis has a fun team, but they don’t have the experience or the offense to keep up in this game. LeBron drafted such a great roster that he won’t need to play much to win this game. Bet Team LeBron -5.5 over Team Giannis in the NBA All-Star Game.

Bet the Over in Total Points

The new format tightened up the game a season ago, but there were still a ton of points scored. This game will likely be a blowout, meaning very little defense in the fourth quarter. The best players in the world will be on the court in this game, and points will come in a hurry. Bet the “over” on 311 points in the NBA All-Star Game.
