Oklahoma Sooners at Iowa State Cyclones Betting Preview

Oklahoma Looking to Beat Iowa State for Second Time

Porter Moser and his Oklahoma Sooners are seeking their 20th win of the season. The Sooners have gone 3-3 this month, and 5-5 overall in their last 10 games. The Sooners lost at Central Florida and Baylor in February, and recently at home to the Kansas Jayhawks. The win on the road at Oklahoma State was nearly mandatory for their tournament hopes.

Javian McCollum and Otega Oweh are the top scorers for the Oklahoma Sooners. McCollum leads the team with 14 points per game, while Oweh is at 12.1 per game. Jalon Moore is the only other player for Oklahoma scoring in double digits. Moore also had a double double in the win at Oklahoma State.

Oklahoma will face the Houston Cougars at home on Saturday, and then welcome Cincinnati to town. Their final regular season games will then be on the road at Texas. That will be the final time those two teams play a Big 12 regular season game, as they are heading to the SEC next season.

Cyclones Appear to be Contender

It has been a magical season for the Iowa State Cyclones. Hilton Coliseum has been a place where opponents do not have much success again for 2023-2024. The Cyclones’ six losses this season have come to Virginia Tech and Texas A+M in Orlando, at Oklahoma, at Brigham Young, at Baylor and at Houston.

The loss to Oklahoma is one they have been stewing about since it happened. There is no doubt that the Cyclones are looking for revenge in this one. The Iowa State offense is scoring just shy of 78 points per game. Iowa State is making 47.3% of their shots, which ranks inside the Top 50.

The top scorers this season for Iowa State have been  Keshon Gilbert and Tamin Lipsey. Gilbert is at 14.1 per game, while Lipsey is adding 12.8 per game. Iowa State will travel on the road to Orlando for a game at Central Florida on Saturday, before coming home to host Brigham Young. The season finale will be at Kansas State.

Iowa State Gets Revenge

The Iowa State Cyclones did not play well in their last game against West Virginia. But, a win’s a win, and that’s what they needed. Iowa State needs this one to keep pace with Houston, and potentially share the conference title.

The Cyclones are one of the best overall teams in all of College Basketball. They are not going to have a problem in this game. Iowa State wins the game going away. Bet the Cyclones -9.5.
