The Oklahoma State Cowboys are 9-3 on the season. The Cowboys are coming off a double overtime win at home over Brigham Young. It was their second straight win, and sealed the deal in the Big 12 for the title game.
For the Texas Longhorns, they are 11-1 overall, and have won six straight games. The Longhorns lone loss this season was in the Red River Rivalry against the Oklahoma Sooners. The Texas Longhorns are -14 against the Cowboys.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys have had a wild season. This is a season that saw them start 2-2 with a home loss to South Alabama on the slate. The offense is picking up nearly 266 passing yards per game and rushing for 167.4 per game. Alan Bowman has been the starting quarterback for the Cowboys, and has 10 touchdowns passes. Brennan Presley has been the top target for the Cowboys, with 76 receptions, 746 yards and five touchdowns.
Texas Longhorns
Steve Sarkisian and his Texas Longhorns are oh so close to being perfect on the season. The Longhorns have a head to head win over Alabama on their resume, and conference wins over Kansas and Kansas State. Those are the ranked teams they played this season.
In their current six game winning streak, the Longhorns have won three of those games by double digits. The passing game for the Longhorns throwing for more than 272 yards per game, while the run game is just under 189 per game.
Jonathon Brooks was the lead running for the Longhorns. He ran the football 187 times for 1,139 yards and 10 touchdowns on the season. In the win at TCU, Brooks was great, but tore his ACL in the win. The Longhorns will look to replace him in this big game, along side quarterback Quinn Ewers.
