Orlando Magic at Milwaukee Bucks Betting Pick

The Orlando Magic are on the road Monday to take on the top team in the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks.
After starting the year 7-11, Orlando has rallied of late and picked up four wins in a row. Even without Nikola Vucevic playing, the Magic continue to stymie their opponents on the defensive end. The Magic rank second in the league in points allowed and ninth in defensive rating, and they block the second-most shots. Orlando has its Swiss Army Knife, Jonathan Isaac, to thank for that, as the forward has been averaging a league-best 2.8 blocks per contest to this point in the year.
The Bucks, on the other hand, have the highest-scoring offense, the 10th-best scoring defense, and also the top offensive rating. The Bucks are taking the 25th-fewest two-pointers out of the 30 teams, but it has not affected them at all. This is a team led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is continuing to improve and again looks like a candidate to win the MVP award. His numbers are almost as ridiculous as his athletic ability, and he just gets harder and harder to slow down.
Milwaukee is favored by 12.5 points over the streaking Magic, while the over/under is set at 219.
Going For Five Straight
Playing mediocre teams is one thing, but squaring off with the top team in the East is a whole other battle. It does seem that, despite being without Vucevic and Al-Farouq Aminu, the Magic have turned a corner and are looking like the same group that finished last season on a tear. Markelle Fultz, still just 21 years of age, has turned in an effective season as the starting point guard, while DJ Augustin has been effective in a bench role. Aaron Gordon and Isaac are crushing it on the defensive end, as Evan Fournier is continuing to make it rain threes. The personnel groupings they have are solid, and Steve Clifford knows just what to do with his team.
Let’s see what they have in store Monday night and if they can get a fifth win a row against the reigning NBA MVP.
Trying To Stay On Top
The Los Angeles Lakers are leading the West with a 21-3 mark, and the East has Milwaukee, which has also forgotten how to lose games. After losing four in a row to Toronto to end the 2019-20 season, the Bucks have begun this season on a rampant tear. Few have figured out how to get it done against them, as they have tremendous depth at the wing and guard positions that has eased the pain of a few injuries. While his numbers haven’t done much to make him look good, Wesley Mathews has been shutting down the star players of several teams this year, proving to be a real key to their success.
The Bucks will likely emerge as winners Monday if Giannis is able to stay out of foul trouble, and if they can effectively make the three-ball.
Bucks Keep It Rolling
Another day, another win. Milwaukee comes away victorious, powered by Giannis’ big triple-double!
