Philadelphia 76ers vs. Indiana Pacers Betting Preview

Monday night features an Eastern Conference showdown as the Philadelphia 76ers (41-22, 3rd in the East) take on the Indiana Pacers (29-36, 11th in the East). The Pacers will host this one at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, with tipoff scheduled for 7:00 pm ET.

The 76ers are favored in this one despite playing on the road. They are -310 to win, while the Pacers’ moneyline sits at +250. The spread features Indiana as 7-point underdogs (-110).

76ers Look To Finish The Regular Season Strong

At 41-22, the 76ers sit in third in the Eastern Conference, four games behind the Milwaukee Bucks. With the regular season winding down, Philadelphia will look to finish the season strong and pick up a win on the road, where they are 17-12 this season.

The 76ers currently have the third-best odds of winning the Eastern Conference at +750. They are +1600 to win the NBA championship, sixth-best in the league.

Philadelphia enters this one ranked 15th in scoring, averaging 114.5 points per game. They are led by Joel Embiid, who is averaging 33 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.6 blocks per game. Embiid is tied for the second-best odds of winning the MVP at +700.

Other contributors for the 76ers include James Harden (22.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 10.6 assists), Tyrese Maxey (20 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists), and Tobias Harris (15 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists). Harris is questionable for this game with a calf injury.

Pacers Look To Make It Two In A Row

The Pacers have had a very inconsistent season this year and currently sit in 11th in the East, 17 games behind the Bucks. Still, they sit just two games out of the 10th and final spot for the playoffs, and they will look to win their second game in as many nights after taking down Chicago 125-122 on Sunday.

In that victory, Tyrese Haliburton led the way with a double-double, putting up 29 points and 11 assists. He leads the Pacers in scoring for the season, too, averaging 20.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 10.1 assists.

Myles Turner (18.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.3 blocks), Buddy Hield (17.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists), and Bennedict Mathurin (16.9 points, 4.1 rebounds) have also had solid seasons this year.

As a unit, Indiana ranks 13th in scoring, averaging 114.9 points per game (117.4 at home). On defense, they rank 24th, allowing opponents an average of 117.3 points per game.

Take The 76ers To Win And Cover

Looking at the trends, Philadelphia is 14-6 in their last 20 games and 7-3 against the spread in their last 10. In their last five games against Indiana, they are 4-1.

For the Pacers, they are just 6-14 in their last 20 games, but they are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games. In their last seven home games versus the 76ers, they are 6-1 against the spread.

Philadelphia is obviously the better team in this matchup, but the Pacers have been able to at least play teams close as of late. Still, playing their second game in as many days, it might be a tall task to keep it close with the 76ers.

Take Philadelphia to not only win this game, but to cover the 7-point spread (-110) as well.
