Phoenix Suns at Denver Nuggets Game 3 Betting Preview

After two blowout wins at home, the Suns hit the road to try and put a finish to their second-round series. The Nuggets lost by 20+ points three times in the regular season, but it’s happened to them twice in just eight playoff contests. If they do not come out firing, the season might be over a bit earlier than they had hoped.

Phoenix is looking great right now, and that all starts with their fearless 36-year-old leader. Chris Paul picked up 15 assists and zero turnovers in the last win, proving to be an all-time floor general with those kinds of numbers. There is not much that he can’t do, and now that the shoulder is fully healed again may all the other teams beware of him.

Nikola Jokic and his club are not looking so hot right now. They played a good first half to start the series but have gotten crushed over the last six quarters. There is very little positive to takeaway, as so many players have just not brought their A-game along. Michael Porter Jr. was abysmal in game 2, while the rest of the non-Jokic starters were flat-out bad.

The return of Will Barton did not provide the lift that they had hoped it would.

ODDS: The home Nuggets are favored, the spread set at DEN -2. The over/under is sitting at 223.5 points.

Phoenix Seeks Commanding 3-0 Lead

No team in NBA playoff history has rallied from an 0-3 hole to advance. And when you look at how basketball is played, a 3-1 comeback is even impressive. When a team has your number like that, going from a big skid to a big streak in the same series is wildly impressive. Phoenix is trying to put a stranglehold on it.

Up 2-0 now, Phoenix got a major boost from their home fans. They were out there in numbers, making noise and making life tough for the road team. And as they now head on the road, it’s worth noting that they went 2-1 in games played at Staples Center last round.

To get the victory, they’ll need another smooth game from CP3 and for Ayton and Booker to both hold their own on both ends.

Can Denver Rally?

Down 0-2, the Nuggets are finally back home. Their fans gave them a lift against Portland and will hope to do so once more. They went 2-1 at Ball Arena against Portland and will be 3-0 there this round, in an ideal world.

Jokic has continued to play well, but that is not the case with anybody else. Not having PJ Dozier is a big blow to the defense, as he played a big role throughout the regular season. And as much as Gary Harris couldn’t score, they definitely miss the defense he used to provide for them.

Jokic needs a running mate to stay at his level if they are to have a chance to win.

Suns Win a Nailbiter

The game will go to the wire, so make sure to stay up. But, the Suns will have a 3-0 lead when the clock strikes zero.
