Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Rams Betting Preview
1st in the AFC South, the Tennessee Titans will head to Los Angeles to take on the Rams, 2nd in the NFC West, this Sunday night. The kickoff for this game is scheduled for 8:10 p.m. eastern from SoFi Stadium.
This will be the Titans’ first game without their star running back Derrick Henry. While they are off to a great 7-2 start, it will be interesting to see what the offense does without the league’s best running back.
The Rams blew out the Texans last week by a score of 38-22. With this win, the Rams have now won four games in a row after their loss to the Cardinals in Week 4.
The Rams are the favorite at home this evening. They are -350 just to win, while the Titans are at +280. The spread has the Rams at -7½ (+105). The over/under is set at 52½.
More Odds
The Titans are still the favorite to win the AFC South at -2500. The Rams are just barely the favorite in the NFC West at -130, with the Arizona Cardinals right behind them at +105.
The Rams are currently third in terms of odds to get to win the Super Bowl at +650. The Titans are top 10 in odds at +2000 to win the Super Bowl.
By The Numbers
In their last four games, the Titans are 4-0 against the spread. In their last five games, they have hit the over four times.
The Rams have won their last two games but failed to cover the spread in both. The Rams are 4-2 against the spread when the spread is less than 12.
Making Up for Henry’s Production
Through eight games, Henry was averaging over 100 yards per game and over a touchdown per game. Combined, every other running back or rushing attempt barely combines to get to 150 yards.
Tannehill is going to have to be better also if the Titans are going to be successful. Last week, Tannehill threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns but also threw two huge interceptions to keep the Colts in the game.
A.J. Brown has been the best receiver for Tannehill to target so far this season. He is averaging just over 50 yards per game and has found the endzone three times.
The Rams Just Need to Keep Pace
The Rams are an electric football team on both sides of the ball. After trading a couple of draft picks, the Rams will now feature Von Miller on that already star-studded defensive group.
Matt Stafford seems rejuvenated this season, making plays with his arm as well as his legs. He is completing almost 70% of his passes and is just two passes short of averaging three touchdown passes.
The real story of the Rams has been the play of their wide receiver Cooper Kupp. In eight games, Kupp has accumulated 924 yards receiving and ten touchdowns.
Take the Rams to Win and Cover
While the Titans work things out about how they are going to be effective without Henry, take advantage. This season, the Rams are 3-1 at home and 2-2 against the spread at home.
The Titans are 3-1 on the road and 3-1 against the spread when playing away.
Betting Pick: Take the Rams to win and cover.
