Toronto Raptors at Golden State Warriors Betting Pick
The NBA Finals will head to a Game 6 on Thursday night after a wild 106-105 victory by the Golden State Warriors. Kevin Durant made his return to the floor in Game 5 but lasted just 12 points before suffering an apparent injury to his Achilles tendon. The Warriors will now head back home to play in their final game ever at Oracle Arena.
Toronto still leads this NBA Finals series by a count of 3-2, and winning two games at Oracle Arena last week is a big reason why. The Raptors are trying to win their first-ever NBA Championship and are just one win away from getting the job done. Golden State is trying to win its third straight NBA Championship but will have to win two more games without Durant. The Warriors are -3.0 point favorites over the Raptors in Game 6.
Leonard Needs Some Help
If the Toronto Raptors are going to close out the series on Thursday night, Kawhi Leonard is going to need some help. Leonard is averaging more than 31 points per game during this playoff run, but the Warriors are throwing extra defenders at him in this series. The former NBA Finals MVP did lead the Raptors with 26 points in Game 5 but went just 9-24 from the field. Leonard will show up again in Game 6, but he can’t do it by himself.
Toronto has been shooting the ball pretty well in this series, but they really struggled in Game 5. The Raptors made just eight three-pointers in the loss, and the Warriors outscored them by 36 points from deep. Fred VanVleet went 3-6 from deep, but Kyle Lowry and Danny Green combined to make just 1-10. The Warriors are giving the Raptors open looks from deep, but they need to start making them.
Warriors Will Rely on Shooting
The Golden State Warriors will try to shoot their way to a second straight victory on Thursday night. The Warriors made 20 three-pointers in Game 5 and shot 47 percent from deep as a team. Golden State got just 23 points from their bench in Game 5, and depth will be a huge issue for the remainder of the series.
Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry have been doing all of the heavy lifting for the Warriors throughout the playoffs, and they came up huge late in Game 5. Thompson and Curry combined to go 12-27 from the three-point line on Monday night, and their shooting is what propelled the Warriors to victory. The “Splash Brothers” have a history of coming up clutch in the NBA Playoffs.
Golden State Closes Oracle With Win
The Warriors have already lost two games at Oracle Arena in this series, and it’s not going to happen a third time. Oracle Arena has meant so much to the Warriors during the last decade, and they are going to close out the building with a victory. Bet the Golden State Warriors -3.0 over the Toronto Raptors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
