Toronto Raptors at Golden State Warriors Betting Preview

This is a rematch of last year’s NBA Finals, though both teams look a whole lot different than they did a year ago. Toronto is still dominating its competition though, their 43-18 start looking extremely impressive given the circumstances surrounding their season.
Staying healthy has been nearly impossible as most of their starters and key players have had to miss a long stretch, playing the last few without Serge Ibaka now, on top of being without Marc Gasol. They have got to get healthy.
For Golden State, this season has been an adjustment period as they have played without the star power we have come to know from them. Stephen Curry went down after four games and has missed the past 58 contests. Klay Thompson has not suited up at all this year.
Draymond Green has been in and out of the lineup and has not had the same impact as year’s past when we’ve watched him this time around. Keven Durant is in Brooklyn, but his NBA Finals injury has kept him out of the lineup for the entire season there.
Toronto is a 7.5-point favorite as it visits the beautiful new Chase Center. Their moneyline is -330, while it’s +270 for GS.
Toronto looking to keep it rolling
They had a surprising three-game skid come to a halt by beating Phoenix last time out, and now they’ll be looking to make it two in a row. On the bright side, both Serge and Gasol have been listed as questionable, giving them both a chance to play tonight.
When the playoffs come around, they will need to be at full strength to truly have a chance at winning it all. They do have an outside shot at knocking off the Bucks again, should they meet in a postseason series. They are as dangerous as any other club around the league.
Kyle Lowry will have the unenviable task of covering Curry if we don’t see Fred VanVleet suit up tonight. He should be able to get it done as he normally does, but it sure won’t be easy.
Golden State looking to ignite the crowd
In a year to be forgotten for the Warriors, they have still managed to pick up a few impressive wins. They took it to the Rockets on Christmas Day, so you never know. Not many of last year’s guys still remain, but those that are here would love to get revenge on Toronto for beating them in the NBA Finals a season ago.
And they will have Curry back for the first time since the fourth game of the year. When Aron Baynes fell on him and broke his hand, it seemed bleak, but it is fantastic to see he is finally ready to make his return.
He will co-star with Andrew Wiggins this evening, and it will be a pleasure to watch.
