The Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox are set to move to Game 3 of the 4 game series on Wednesday. After Boston won the opening game on Monday, Baltimore bounced back with a win on Tuesday.
The Baltimore Orioles are now 6-4 on the season. The Orioles had dropped back to back games before the win on Tuesday. Over the weekend, Baltimore was rained out on Sunday, which came after a loss on Saturday to the Pirates. The Orioles are the defending American League East Champions.
The Boston Red Sox come into the game with a 7-4 record. The Red Sox are chasing the New York Yankees at the top of the division. Boston finished last in the division a season ago. The Red Sox won two out of three in Los Angeles against the Angels over the weekend.

Baltimore Orioles Looking to Win Back to Back Games
In the win on Tuesday, Gunnar Henderson and Colton Cowser both had big doubles in the game. Cowser drove in four runs in the game. Corbin Burnes was strong on the mound. After allowing a home run early in the game, he settled in and limited the damage enough to pick up the win. He finished with seven innings, allowing just two hits.
Cole Irvin is going to get the start for the Baltimore Orioles. He has thrown just five innings so far this season, and struck out 3 and walked 2. IRvin took the loss in a start on April 2nd against the Kansas City Royals.
These two teams will meet up again on Thursday, but then after that the Baltimore Orioles are going to head home. The Orioles will host the Brewers for three games, and then next week the Twins come to town for three.
Red Sox Off to A Strong Start
Despite the loss, Tyler O’Neill hit his sixth home run of the season for the Red Sox. In his first season with the team, each of his homeruns have been solo blasts. He is hitting .344 to lead the team so far in 2024.
Boston will wrap up this series on Thursday, before welcoming the Los Angeles Angels to town on Friday. After that three game series, the Red Sox will host Cleveland for four games. Next weekend, the Red Sox are in PIttsburgh.
Kutter Crawford will get the start for the Red Sox. Crawford has thrown 10.2 innings this season, and struck out 12 batters. His last outing was April 5th at the Angels, where he allowed 2 hits and a run over 4.2 innings.
Orioles Top Red Sox
The Orioles have a nice lineup full of young, hungry hitters. When push comes to shove, we are going to take the road team with the starting pitcher with a little more experience.
