Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees Betting Preview
Game three of what was originally planned to be a four-game series ended in a win for the New York Yankees. The visiting Boston Red Sox had a tough time against Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole who recorded eleven strikeouts. The game had to be called by the sixth inning, though, giving the Red Sox no time to catch up. Due to heavy rain, the game was called, and the final ended with a 3-1 Yankees win.
On Sunday, hopefully, the skies will be clearer for the Red Sox, who are hoping to claim a series win over their rival. Boston will have to do better at the plate on Sunday, though, as they had a tough time against the Yankees pitching on Saturday. The question now is which team will be the best bet at the sportsbook.

The Red Sox have the fourth overall team batting average and rank third in total runs. Facing Taillon is a great way for the Red Sox to build morale before heading to Toronto.
Yankees can close the series with two straight wins
The Yankees did a great job on Saturday, holding the Red Sox to only one run in six innings. Their success was mostly due to Gerrit Cole, who had eleven strikeouts. Considering they won’t have him starting on the mound Sunday, the Yankees batters will have to step up. The Yankees are far behind the Boston Red Sox in the Al East at eight games. A win here gets them that slightly closer to taking over the division.
Unfortunately, they’ll have a weaker pitcher on the mound Sunday, which puts the weight on the Yankees batters. This year is uncharacteristic for the Yankees, considering how many heavy hitters they have on the roster. Currently, the Yankees rank 25th in the league in terms of runs scored.
Their team batting average ranks in the bottom half of the league as well at 18th. If they want to close the series with a win, we’ll need to see a much better performance at the plate.
