Cleveland Browns at Philadelphia Eagles Betting Preview

Cleveland Browns at Philadelphia Eagles Betting Preview
In the National Football League on Thursday, the Cleveland Browns are at the Philadelphia Eagles for a preseason affair. The Browns are playing their third preseason game of the season after winning in the Hall of Fame Game and backing it up with a loss last week. The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to grab their first win of the preseason. The Eagles fell to the Baltimore Ravens last week.
The Philadelphia Eagles are -3.5 in this game at home over the Cleveland Browns. The total for the game is listed at 37.5 points.
Eagles Looking for Repeat of NFC Success
The Philadelphia Eagles will obviously use Jalen Hurts as their quarterback once the regular season gets here. Still, during the pre-season, Tanner McKee, Marcus Mariota, and Ian Book are getting opportunities. Neither of the three threw for a touchdown or an interception last week. The Philadelphia run game saw Rashaad Penny rush nine times for 34 yards in the game.
A season ago, Jalen Hurts was in the MVP mix all season long. The signal caller from Alabama tossed for more than 3,700 yards and 22 touchdowns with just six interceptions. He was also the second-best rusher on the Eagles, with 760 yards and an additional 13 touchdowns. Miles Sanders, the top running back last year, had 11 touchdowns but is no longer with the team.
The Eagles have this game against the Browns and then a home game against the Colts left in the preseason. Once the regular season gets here, Philadelphia will play at New England in Week 1 before coming home for Thursday Night Football against the Vikings. Week three is on Monday Night Football on the road at the Buccaneers.
Browns Starting Preseason Game 3
The Cleveland Browns won 21-16 against the Jets and then lost 17-15 to the Commanders. Cleveland, in the loss last week, used four guys at quarterback. Dorian Thompson-Robinson was the top guy once again, with 102 passing yards and a touchdown. Kellen Mond also threw a touchdown pass in the game.
A season ago, the Browns saw Deshaun Watson play in six games and throw for 1,102 yards and seven touchdowns. He also threw five interceptions. The top receiver for the Browns was former Dallas Cowboys receiver Amari Cooper. Cooper caught 78 passes for 1,160 yards and 9 touchdowns.
The Browns wrap up their preseason play on the road at Kansas City next week before starting the regular season in a rivalry game against the Cincinnati Bengals. In Week 2, the Browns go on the road to Pittsburgh. In weeks 3 and 4, the Browns are also back home to take on the Titans and Ravens before their Week 5 bye.
Eagles Smack Browns
The Philadelphia Eagles are going to come into this game and smack the Cleveland Browns right in the mouth. The Eagles are a talented group and know they need to use these preseason games to get on track and ready for the regular season. Look for the Philadelphia Eagles to come into this game and be aggressive.
Despite it being a preseason game, the Eagles show a lot of cards here. Bet the Philadelphia Eagles -3.5 over the Cleveland Browns in this affair on Thursday.
