College Football: Coaches Poll Top 25 Released

The College Football season has arrived. It’s here! The games are set, and we are excited for the game action. Recently, the College Football Coaches Poll Top 25 was released. Let’s take a look at what the beginning poll came out to be!

Georgia Bulldogs Back on Top

The top team in the rankings – the Georgia Bulldogs, are looking to take down their third straight national title. The Bulldogs are the favorites in the SEC and will start the season on September 2nd against UT Martin. Second in the rankings are the Michigan Wolverines.

Coach Harbaugh is suspended for the first couple of games, but they should not have a problem as they start the season with games against East Carolina, UNLV, and Bowling Green.

Roundout out the Top 5: Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State Buckeyes, and LSU Tigers. Alabama picked up four 1st place votes by the coaches.

The Crimson Tide host Middle Tennessee State to start the season. Ohio State starts on the road at Indiana, and the LSU Tigers have a big game in Orlando against the Florida State Seminoles.

Trojans Looking to Take Final Pac-12 Title

The USC Trojans are the favorites in the Pac-12. Caleb Williams has the Heisman front-runner and is ready to take Lincoln Riley back to the College Football Playoff.

The Trojans have a home game with San Jose State to start the season. 7th on the list is Penn State. This is the third Big Ten team in the rankings, and they get an interesting game against West Virginia.

The next two teams are ACC foes with Florida State and Clemson. The Seminoles have LSU in Orlando, and the Clemson Tigers start with a road game at the Duke Blue Devils.

The final team in the Top 10 is the Tennessee Volunteers. The third SEC team in the rankings will start the season at home against the Virginia Cavaliers.

Rounding out the Top 25

After the Top 10, the next five on the list feature three more teams from the Pac-12. This is the final season for the conference as we know it, and we are going to see some exciting games. Four teams sit in the Top 15. The Washington Huskies are 11th, followed by Texas, Notre Dame, Utah, and Oregon.

Rounding out the Top 20 feature three more Big 12 teams. The TCU Horned Frogs, who lost in the national title game a season ago, is 16, while Kansas State, Oregon State, Oklahoma, and North Carolina are next.

Finishing up the Top 25 features the Wisconsin Badgers, Ole Miss Rebels, Tulane Green Wave, Texas Tech Red Raiders, and Texas A+M Aggies.

Seasons Set to Kick Off Soon

The first game of the season is Saturday, August 26th, as the Navy Midshipmen take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in Dublin, Ireland. San Jose State and USC will also get together that night in Los Angeles.

Most of the rest of the country will start with games as early as August 31st and trickle onto the weekend. Games on that Thursday feature Utah and Florida, and Nebraska against Minnesota.
