The Duke Blue Devils and Houston Cougars are slated to get together in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. This game is slated to be played at the American Airlines Center in Dallas Texas on Friday. Duke comes into the game as the 4th seed in the South Region. The Blue Devils are 26-8 on the season, and have tournament wins over Vermont and James Madison.
For Houston, they are the top seed in the South. Houston is coming off an overtime win in the second round over Texas A+M. The Cougars knocked off Longwood in the first round by 40 points. Houston is 32-4 on the season.

Duke Blue Devils
Duke looked brilliant in their second round win over James Madison. There were plenty of questions about the Blue Devils following the ACC loss. The Blue Devils though scored 93 points and won the game by 38 points.
In the win, Jared McCain had a monster game. He was 10 for 15 from the field and scored 30 points in the game. Tyrese Proctor scored 18 for the Blue Devils, while Jeremy Roach added 15. On the season, the Blue Devils were led by Kyle Filipowski with 16.6 points per game. McCain added 14.
With 39 poDuke lost two non conference games before December, The second game of the season, Duke fell to Arizona. Later, they lost to Arkansas. The Blue Devils also lost their first conference game of the season at Georgia Tech.
Houston Cougars
Kelvin Sampson and his Houston Cougars enjoyed their first season as members of the Big 12 Conference. The Cougars won the regular season title, and got to the title game in the conference tournament. Houston was held to a season low 41 points in the loss to Iowa State.
In the NCAA Tournament, Houston is scoring 93 points per game. In the overtime win over Texas A+M, Emanuel Sharp anchored the offense with 30 points. Jamal Shead was strong as well with 21 points in 45 minutes. L.J. Cryer fouled out for the Cougars, scoring 20 points in the game.
Houston won their first 14 games of the season. Their first loss of the season was on the road at Iowa State. They then fell in the next game at TCU as well. Houston’s third loss was on the road at Kansas.
Blue Devils Battle Cougars
When betting on this game, there is no reason to expect this to be anything other than tight. The Blue Devils are playing great basketball. Duke will have to be nearly perfect in this game, as the Cougars are really talented.
