Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers Betting Preview

Monday Night Football pits NFC West rivals against one another as the Los Angeles Rams (2-1) take on the San Francisco 49ers (1-2). The 49ers will host this one at Levi’s Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 pm ET.

The 49ers come in as the favorites in this one playing at home. They are -122 to win, while the Rams’ moneyline sits at +104. The spread features Los Angeles +1.5 (-110), and the over/under for total points is 42.5.

Defending Champs Look For Third Win Despite Being Underdogs

Despite being the better record, the Rams come in as slight underdogs as they play on the road. Not only does the fact that they are on the road come into play, but Los Angeles is just 1-6 against the 49ers in their last seven games.

Looking to bounce back from an inconsistent performance in Week 3 will be Matthew Stafford and the Rams’ offense. Last week, in a 20-12 win over Arizona, he threw for 249 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions.

On the season, Stafford has thrown for 761 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions. He has also been sacked nine times through the first three games.

Cooper Kupp remains Stafford’s favorite target. On the season, Kupp has 28 receptions for 280 yards and three touchdowns already.

Defensively, the Rams currently rank 20th in the NFL in scoring defense as they are allowing 23.3 points per game. Despite this, it was the defense that won them the game last week over the Cardinals.

Garoppolo Looks To Bounce Back

With Trey Lance out for the season, the San Francisco 49ers are looking to Jimmy Garoppolo to lead them to the playoffs this season.

Unfortunately for 49ers’ fans, his first week of action didn’t go as planned. In a 11-10 loss to the Denver Broncos last week, Garoppolo threw for just 211 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He also made a costly and seemingly game-changing mistake as he stepped out of bounds for a safety.

Still, the 30-year-old Garoppolo deserves the benefit of the doubt as last year he threw for 3,810 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions over 15 games.

Deebo Samuel continues to be a vital part of the offense, one that should be exploited even more in this one. Thus far, he has rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown while also hauling in 12 receptions for 131 yards.

San Francisco also has a stellar defense as they currently rank third in scoring defense. Through three games, opposing offenses are scoring just 12.3 points per game against them.

Take The Rams And The Points

Anytime the Rams and 49ers match up, it is bound to be a great game, and this one should be no exception.

While the Rams are just 1-6 in their last seven against the 49ers, they have won six of their last seven games overall and six in a row on the road.

For San Francisco, they are 5-0 against the spread in their last five home games and 10-5 in their last 15 games overall.

With this one literally able to go, either way, the best option is to take the points. In this case, that means taking Los Angeles at +1.5 (-110).
