A massive game in the Western Conference will take place on Wednesday. The Minnesota Timberwolves are set to take on the Denver Nuggets. Minnesota has won back to back games, as they knocked off Washington on Tuesday. The Timberwolves come into the game with a 55-24 record on the season.
Denver has the exact same record, as they both sit at the top of the Western Conference standings. The Nuggets are coming off a road win at the Utah Jazz on Tuesday. Denver has also won back to back games as they beat the Hawks on Saturday.

Young, Athletic Timberwolves
Anthony Edwards was unstoppable in the win over the Wizards. He played 37 minutes, and scored 51 points in the game. Rudy Gobert also had a big time game for Minnesota, scoring 19 points and ripped down 16 rebounds in the game.
The Timberwolves are scoring more than 113 points per game. Minnesota is the third best three point shooting team in the league. The Timberwolves make more than 38% from downtown. Minnesota has started the month of April with wins in four of their first five games. The lone loss during that time was at the Phoenix Suns.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have two more games in the regular season after this one. Minnesota is at home on Friday to take on the Atlanta Hawks. Then, on Sunday, the Timberwolves host the Phoenix Suns.
Defending Champion Nuggets
Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets know what it takes to get the job done in the postseason. They know this is a monster game to help them grab the top seed. Jokic has played in 76 games for the Nuggets this season, and is just shy of averaging a triple double. He is over 26 points, 12.4 rebounds and 9 assists per game.
Jokic had another double double on Tuesday with 28 points and 13 rebounds in the game. Christian Braun got the start at small forward for the Nuggets, and scored 11 points in the game.
Denver is another team that has gotten off to a solid April start. The Nuggets are 3-1. Their lone loss this month came on the road at the Clippers. The last time the Nuggets and Timberwolves met was on the 29th of March. Minnesota blew the doors off the defending champions by 13 points. In that game starting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope did not score.
For the Denver Nuggets, they are on the road for their final two games of the season. The Nuggets are at the San Antonio Spurs on Friday and Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday.

This should be a great basketball game, between two really good basketball teams. In the end though, the talent and experience of the Denver Nuggets is going to win out.
