Edwards was the leader in the loss, with 32 points and 12 rebounds. Towns added 19.

Minnesota will host Dallas on Monday to start a three game home stand. After the Mavericks leave down, the Magic and Rockets come to Minneapolis. The next road game will be on February 6th in Chicago.

Point Guard Having Monster Season

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is having a Most Valuable Player type season for the Thunder. The point guard is scoring 31.1 points per game, dishing out 6.4 assists per game, and has more than 5.5 rebounds per game. In the recent win over the Pelicans, he scored 31 points to lead the way.

Chet Holmgren has been tough for the Thunder this season as well. Holmgren had 20 points and 13 rebounds in a recent win. In the loss on Sunday, he scored just 9 points. The Thunder aer 17-5 at home this season, and scoring more than 121 points per game. Oklahoma City is 20-10- when playing against teams from the Western Conference.

Oklahoma City will remain at home for three more games after this. The Denver Nuggets come to town on Wednesday, before visits from Charlotte and Toronto. The next road game for the Thunder will take place on February 6th at the Jazz.

What a game this should be. No one would have ever predicted that it would be the Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder at the top of the Western Conference standings at this point in the season. . This will be a fun one. When push comes to shove though, we are going to take the Oklahoma City Thunder at home.
