The Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz are set to battle on Monday for a rematch of their affair on Saturday. On Saturday, the Timberwolves beat the Jazz by 19. Utah will look to even the series up on Monday.
The loss for Utah sent them to 29-38 on the season. With just 15 games to go, the Jazz are now 6.5 games out of the final spot in the Western Conference. Utah is 20-14 at home this season, but just 14-24 against Western Conference foes.
For Minnesota, their win pushed them to 46-21 on the season. The Timberwolves are third in the West; just a single game behind both the Thunder and Nuggets for the top spot in the Western Conference. Minnesota is 23-13 when playing on the road this season.

Timberwolves Seeking Top Seed
In the win over the Jazz on Saturday, ANthony Edwards and Naz Reid had big time games. Edwards scored 31 points, and ripped down 10 rebounds in the game. Reid, who is getting more time with the loss of Karl Anthony Towns and also Rudy Gobert scored 22 points and ripped down 12 rebounds.
The Timberwolves also saw Mike Conley score 25 points in the game. Edwards leads the team with 2.5 points per game. Towns and Gobert were second and third on the team in scoring, but both are question marks when they will return to the squad. Reid has moved for fourth, with 12.9 per game.
Next up for Minnesota is a big game on Tuesday at home against the Nuggets. It is the first of two games remaining this month against the defending champions. The game on Tuesday is the first of a four game home stand.
Utah Looking for Answers
The Utah Jazz saw four players score in double digits, despite the loss. Coming off the bench and playing 30 strong minutes was Collin Sexton. He finished with 22 points and 10 assists. Keyonte George was the leading scorer for starters, with 18 on the season. Taylor Hendricks also added 15 points and 10 rebounds.
During the season, the Jazz have been led by Lauri Markkanen, but he is out with a Quads injury. He was scoring more than 23 points per game. Sexton is second on the team with 18.3, while Jordan Clarkson is adding 17.4 per game.
The Jazz will head out on the road for two more games after this. Utah is at Oklahoma City on Wednesday, before making trips to Dallas and Houston before the end of the week.
