NFL Week 4 Comes to a Close
The National Football League ended with the Seattle Seahawks beating the New York in the Monday Night Football affair last night. It was a blood bath from start to finish, as the Seattle defense got to Daniel Jones for ten sacks in the game.
Seattle got touchdowns from D.K. Metcalf and Kenneth Walker, along with an interception return for their third straight win. The loss for New York dropped them to 1-3 on the season.
Let’s take a look at some of the top results from the week, Week 4 of the National Football League.
Week 4 Winners
The week started with a battle of NFC North teams. The Detroit Lions went to Green Bay and smacked the Packers 34-20. The Lions now lead the divisional race by a game. The London game featured the Jacksonville Jaguars beating the Atlanta Falcons 23-7. Atlanta continued to struggle on the offensive side, unable to get any passing offense in the game.
Two of the early session games went to overtime; the Los Angeles Rams went to Indianapolis and beat the Colts 29-23. Puka Nacua scored the winning touchdown and had a monster game with nine receptions, 163 yards, and a score. The other overtime game was the Philadelphia Eagles kicking a field goal to beat the Washington Commanders 34-31.
Other interesting games featured the Buffalo Bills smoking the Miami Dolphins. The Bills scored 48 points and ran away with the game. Stefon Diggs scored three touchdowns for Buffalo. The Baltimore Ravens drilled the Cleveland Browns 28-3, and the Tennessee Titans beat the Cincinnati Bengals 27-3 in two mad losses for the state of Ohio.
The evening games saw the Los Angeles Chargers beat the Las Vegas Raiders 24-17. Dallas smoked the Patriots 38-3, the 49ers drilled Arizona behind four touchdowns from Christian McCaffrey, and then on Sunday Night Football, the Kansas City Chiefs went to New York and beat the Jets 23-20.
Week 5 Slate Up Next
Week 5 will get started on Thursday Night Football from the nation’s capital. The Chicago Bears will take on the Washington Commanders without a win this season. The Commanders are 2-2 following their overtime loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Washington will be glad to see someone outside of Buffalo and Philadelphia.
On Sunday, in London, the first game of the day will feature the Jacksonville Jaguars against the Buffalo Bills. The Jaguars just remain in London after winning Sunday morning against Atlanta. The Buffalo Bills will be making that travel following their blowout win over Miami. The Bills and Dolphins are now 3-1 on the season, at the top of the AFC East.
Other big games in Week 5 include the Baltimore Ravens on the road at the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cincinnati Bengals at the Arizona Cardinals, the Philadelphia Eagles at the Los Angeles Rams, the Kansas City Chiefs at the Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets at the Denver Broncos.
The Sunday Night Football game features the Dallas Cowboys on the road at the San Francisco 49ers, and Monday Night sees the Green Bay Packers on the road at the Las Vegas Raiders.
