Oklahoma CIty Thunder at New Orleans Pelicans Betting Pick

The Oklahoma City Thunder are on the road at the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday in the National Basketball Association. The Oklahoma City Thunder are 49-21 on the season, which is the second best record in the Western Conference. Oklahoma City is coming off a tough loss on the road at the Bucks on Sunday. The Thunder are 7-3 in their last 10 games.

For New Orleans, they are 44-27 on the season. The Pelicans have won back to back games, and are 8-2 over their last 10 games. New Orleans sits in fifth place in the Western Conference to start this game.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are -2.5 on the road here. The total is 228.5.

Big Season for Point Guard

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has played in 69 out of the Thunder’s 70 games this season, and is going to be a candidate for Most Valuable Player. The guard is scoring more than 30 points per game, and dishing out 6.3 assists. In the recent loss to the Bucks, he scored just 12, which is well below his season average.

Jalen Williams has been strong for the Thunder this season. He had 18 in the game against the Bucks. On the season, he is just over 19 points per game. The Thunder are scoring 120.3 points per game, which ranks 4th in the league. The Thunder are third in shooting, as they are making just shy of 50%.

Oklahoma City is at home on Wednesday against the Houston Rockets. On Friday, they will host the Phoenix Suns, before finishing the month on the road at the New York Knicks on March 31st.

No Ingram for Pelicans

Brandon Ingram is out for the Pelicans. The second leading scorer injured his knee in a game at Orlando last week, and will miss some time. Ingram was scoring 20.9 points per game. Zion Williamson is the leading scorer for New Orleans. The former Duke star is at 22.6 points per game.

Williamson had one of his worst games of the season in Miami, but then bounced back with an outstanding game at Detroit. He had 36 points and 7 rebounds in the win over the Pistons.  Also in the win, CJ McCollum added 23 points for the Pelicans.

New Orleans will look to stay hot, but have a tough schedule. The Pelicans get visits from the Bucks, Celtics, Suns, Magic and then Spurs. The next time they are on the road is April 7th in Phoenix.

Pelicans Top Thunder

What a game this should be. The Oklahoma City Thunder are fighting for the top spot in the West, and the Pelicans are looking to grab a home game in the first round.

Both teams are talented. We like the Pelicans to win this game at home. Using their home court advantage, and their ability to play defense, and also score when needed, we like them here.

Our final bet is the New Orleans Pelicans +2.5 over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday. We also like New Orleans on the moneyline!  Enjoy the game!
