Therefore, if you lose one, you’ll likely win the next and you can make back your money from the initial wager. This way, when you get on a roll and win, say 4 out of 6 spins, you’ll be further ahead in house money than you would be by placing the same bet every time.

Progressive Betting Strategy

Similar to the Martingale is the Progressive Betting Strategy. Here, once you’ve won a wager on the outside, you double your next bet. Since you’ve just won a bet, this is playing with house money. The goal is to win two spins in a row and go back to your original wager.

For instance, you wager $5 on Red and it hits. The next bet is for $10 on Red again. This also hits, giving you $20. Your next wager goes back to $5 and you’ve banked the house money at $15. A Progressive Betting Strategy can pay big with just a short hot streak and, unlike the Martingale Strategy, it’s only employed when you’re ahead of the wagering.

The Paroli Roulette Strategy

This is simply an aggressive version of the Progressive Betting Strategy. Here, you are just increasing you wager, still on the outside, every spin. First a $5 wager, then $10, then $20, then $40. It takes a large bankroll so this strategy is not for everyone.

However, the Paroli Roulette Strategy can pay big as, essentially, you are looking for one hit down the line which will put you out and pay you out well. This is a short and sweet approach where you won’t play more than eight to ten spins, hoping a few at the end will come in leaving you flush as you walk away.

European Roulette vs American Roulette

Many online casinos will carry several versions of table games and in roulette the two most popular choices are European Roulette and American Roulette. If this option is presenting to you and you have a choice of picking one or the other, you’ll always want to go with the European Roulette as it has a much lower house edge.

As you may have noticed, every number is the sum of the previous two. This is to be followed after a losing spin. Again, this is made in order to win back your previous loss and then add more the more it increases. Many players don’t go much further than the 8 on the scale as your bank roll will need to be pretty big in order to afford to employ this strategy.

Many people actually go the other way with it, and use this pattern after wins on even bets. That way, you are playing with money you’ve won and a hot streak of anysize can payout huge.

The Walk Away

The most important strategy for any online table game and especially for online roulette. When you are up, you need to walk away. As mentioned before, the house holds an edge on every table game in the casino, so the laws of averages tell us, the longer you stay, the more you will lose.

If you are up, you’ve got to get out. The best way to do this is to set goals for yourself. For instance, double your money. Once you’ve double your money, you leave. Maybe it’s $50. Maybe $1,000. Whatever it is, have a goal and get out.
