Utah Utes at Washington Huskies Betting Preview – NCAA Football Week 11
There’s a big College Football game in Seattle on Saturday. The Washington Huskies are ranked fifth in College Football, and the first team on the outside looking in, when it comes to the College Football playoff, as we start Week 11. Washington is 9-0 on the season, and coming off a win over USC last week. The Utes are +8.5 underdogs in this game.
The Utah Utes are set to take on the Washington Huskies. The Utah Utes come into the game with a 7-2 record, and one of the contenders in the Pac-12 Conference, with a 4-2 conference mark. The Utes are coming off a blowout win over Arizona State last week.
Defense Steller for Whittingham’s Utes
The Utah Utes are known for their team defense, and that is what they will need to have in this game to compete with the Huskies. Utah won their first four games of the season, and during those games allowed just a total of 38 points. On the season, the Utes are allowing opponents to score just 15.9 points per game, which is 9th in the country.
The offensive side has been hit or miss for the Utes all season. Utah is scoring 25 points per game, which is 81st in all of College Football. The Utes have star Ja’Quinden Jackson, who has carried the ball 112 times, but has just two rushing touchdowns all season. In the passing game, Devaughn Vele has been the top target, and he has 337 yards on the season.
The Utes will play back to back road games, as they are at Arizona next, and then finish the season after Thanksgiving with the Colorado Buffaloes.
Red Hot Huskies
The Washington Huskies are seeking their 10th straight win to start the season. The Huskies have scored 31 points or more in every game, but one. In that win, they scored just 15, but held Arizona State to just a single touchdown. On the season, Washington is fourth in the nation, scoring 41.7 points per game.
Michael Penix Jr has thrown for over 3,200 yards and 26 touchdowns. Rome Odunze needs just 11 receiving yards to reach 1,000 on the season, while Dillon Johnson is the top baller carrier, with 686 yards on the season. The Huskies passing offense ranks at the top of College Football, with 383.1 yards per game.
The Huskies are at the Oregon State Beavers next week, and then host Washington State on November 25th.
Well Coached, Well Played Game
The Huskies and Utes are both well coached. Kalen DeBoer is doing great things in Seattle, while Kyle Whittingham continues to have the Utes playing great football. This is going to be a fun game, but the Huskies have too much offense for the Utes to handle. Washington wins this game by two touchdowns and covers the spread. Look for a 37-21 type win for Washington. Bet the Huskies -8.5! Good luck and enjoy the game!
