Big Weekend of NCAA Men’s College Basketball

Not only is College Football bowl season here, College Basketball is heating up as well. We are nearing the start of the conference season, but before we do so, many of the top teams in the country have big games over the weekend before they head to their Christmas break. Let’s take a look at the big weekend of NCAA Men’s College Basketball:

UConn Huskies at Gonzaga Bulldogs

A pair of Top 10 teams will meet up in Spokane. The Huskies have just the one loss, which came at Kansas earlier in the season. Gonzaga is looking to get back on track after a recent loss to Washington. Both teams can fill up the scoreboard. Look for a fun, up pace game, with the team that defends the best winning the game. A potential NCAA tournament preview?

Arizona Wildcats at Purdue Boilermakers

These two teams will come into the game both ranked in the Top 3. Arizona is the top ranked team in College Basketball. Purdue has just the one loss, which came at home to Northwestern. The Wildcats have crazy athletic players, while Purdue is going to want to pound the basketball inside. If the guards can play well for Purdue, they will have a chance to knock off the top team in the country, in Indianapolis.

North Carolina Tar Heels at Kentucky Wildcats

Two of the best College Basketball programs in the history of the sport. The Tar Heels and the Wildcats. The 2023 version of this game features a pair of Top 15 teams. The Tar Heels are 7-2, but coming off a loss to UConn. That was 11 days between games. Did the Tar Heels learn any lessons from that loss, as they head to Atlanta? For the Wildcats, they also have two losses. The most recent at home to UNC Wilmington is a head scratcher. Can the Wildcats get the ball up and down the floor and do what they do best against a stellar Tar Heels squad?

Alabama Crimson Tide at Creighton Blue Jays

Two teams in need of a win will get together in Omaha. The Crimson Tide already have three losses on the season. Their latest came on December 9th to Purdue.  Alabama also lost to Ohio State and Clemson. The Tide have a trip to Arizona next on the schedule, so they will be battle tested once they start SEC play after New Year. For Creighton, after their trip to Las Vegas, they will want to be back home. It was not a pretty loss; by 15 on the road to UNLV. Two hungry teams, with only one winner on Saturday!

Tennessee Volunteers at NC State Wolf Pack

A pair of big conference schools will mix it up at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio. A late night game. These two teams have not played since 2017. Tennessee has been battle tested big time this season with games against Illinois, Purdue, Kansas, Syracuse and Wisconsin. Tennessee is looking for their fourth straight win. For the Wolf Pack, they are also coming into the game with a three game winning streak. Before the Wolf Pack start ACC play, they would like to grab their 8th win. Their two losses came back to back against Brigham Young and Ole Miss.

These are just five games. There is a whole slate of games, but these are the best of the best. Enjoy the games, and best of luck with all your College Basketball betting this weekend, and for the rest of the season!
