College Football Week 10 Wrap Up

The College Football season has seen Week 10 wrap up with some dynamite games. There were some great games, and some fun results. Let’s take a look at some of the best games of the week:

Texas Longhorns 33-30 over Kansas State Wildcats

In one of the best games of the day, the Longhorns won in overtime. The Longhorns got up big early, and the Wildcats stormed back. Kansas State had a chance to kick the field goal and send this game into a second overtime, but elected to go for the touchdown, and failed. The win for the Longhorns pushed them to 8-1, and kept them alive for the College Football Playoff talk.

Clemson Tigers 31-23 over Notre Dame Fighting Irish

The Clemson Tigers were unranked, and took down the 15th ranked Fighting Irish. The Clemson defense was all over Irish quarterback Sam Hartman. They intercepted a pass for a touchdown in the first half, and had two on the game. The Tigers held him to just 146 passing yards in the game. On the other side, Phil Mafah took over for Will Shipley, and dominated. He carried the ball 36 times for 186 yards and two touchdowns.

Ohio State Buckeyes 35-16 over Rutgers Scarlet Knights

The big men on campus stepped up for the Ohio State Buckeyes. At one point, the Buckeyes trailed in the game 9-7. In fact, it was halftime. The second half was all Buckeyes as they scored 28 points. TrVeyon Henderson rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown, while Marvin Harrison Jr caught two touchdowns. Harrison had just 25 yards, but caught the ones he needed, and let his team to their 9th win in 9 games.

Oklahoma State Cowboys 27-24 over Oklahoma Sooners

It was the second straight loss for the Sooners. For the Cowboys, they are one of the hottest teams in College Football with five straight wins. Ollie Gordon carried the ball 33 times in the win, and finished with 137 yards and two scores. Quarterback Alan Bowman for the Cowboys did not throw a touchdown pass all game, but finished with 334 yards in the game. The Sooners fumbled the ball four times in the game, losing two of them.

Georgia Bulldogs 30-21 over Missouri Tigers

The Georgia Bulldogs showed the reason they continue to be the team to beat in College Football. When push came to shove, the Bulldogs always got the stops they needed, and the scores they had to have. The Bulldogs went to 9-0 with their 9 point win over the Tigers, and all but clinched their spot in the SEC title game. Georgia saw their top receiver in the game; Ladd McConkey finished with 95 yards, while the defense held Luther Burden to just 53 in the game.

Arizona Wildcats 27-10 over UCLA Bruins

The Wildcats remained one of the toughest teams to shake out of the Pac-12. The win made them bowl eligible, with six wins. The Wildcats scored in each of the four quarters, and held the Bruins to just 10 points in the game.

Week 11 Approaching

There you have it. Those were some of the best games of the week. Some great finishes, and a couple upsets. Week 11 will also pit some great games on tap, including the Penn State Nittany Lions hosting the Michigan Wolverines, Tennessee on the road at Missouri, USC visiting Oregon, Utah at Washington and the Ole Miss Rebels at the Georgia Bulldogs.
