ESPN BET Launches With Massive Promos

The long awaited launch of the ESPN BET mobile app has now happened as it officially went live on Tuesday, November 14th. Bettors in 17 different states were waiting around much of the day for the launch, and it finally happened right around 3:00 PM ET.

ESPN BET is a product of ESPN and PENN Entertainment, and those two companies are expected to see a ton of success in the online sports betting industry. PENN has been in the industry for a few years, but this is the first time that ESPN is getting involved.

The ESPN BET mobile app takes the place of the Barstool Sportsbook app, and customers were simply able to move their account information over to the new app. Existing customers simply had to download the new app and all of their account information was there when they logged in for the first time.

It’s going to take some time for ESPN BET to really start to challenge the leaders in this industry, but it’s expected to be competitive with operators such as DraftKings and FanDuel. Launching in the middle of the NFL season is going to give this operator a nice boost, and the numbers should be high for November.

Huge Bonus Available

Both new and existing customers at ESPN BET were greeted with a huge welcome bonus when downloading the app for the first time. It’s typical for new operators to offer a big welcome bonus, and that was the case with ESPN BET.

This welcome offer was $200 in bonus bets for every customer that placed any wager after downloading the new app. There was no limit to the first foul that was placed, and the bonus bets simply showed up in a new customers account.

ESPN BET didn’t hand out a straight $200 bonus to new customers, but instead gave each new customer four different bonus bets worth $50. That bonus bet could then be used one any of the available betting options at ESPN BET.

This is such a competitive industry that every operator is trying to find an edge, and it appears that ESPN BET might have accomplished that. There is a betting market offered at ESPN BET that is one that you won’t see elsewhere.

You can actually bet on which players won’t score a touchdown in an NFL game, and that’s extremely unusual to see that betting option. While there isn’t a ton of value in those odds most of the time, this still gives bettors another betting option to check out.

Expect Plenty of Promotion

Now that ESPN BET is officially live, you should expect to see this mobile app being promoted all of the time on live sporting events. Scott Van Pelt has already been featured in a number of commercial spots for the new mobile app, and he won’t be the only one.

ESPN employees were given some guidance on what is going to be allowed and outlawed when using the ESPN BET mobile app. Employees are going to be able to make wagers, but they can’t make a bet on games in which they are calling.
